Pete Davidson teased his anticipated return to Saturday Night Live as he takes on hosting duties for the 49th season premiere episode which airs later this week on Saturday, October 14.
The Bodies Bodies Bodies actor, 29 – who will be joined by musical guest Ice Spice on the big night – appeared in a 47-second promo alongside SNL comedians Chloe Fineman and Bowen Yang that dropped on Wednesday.
The clip kicked off with Fineman and Yang strolling on the quiet set as the pair discussed their thrill ‘to be back.’ The previous 48th season notably was halted early due to the WGA strike – which officially came to an end late last month.
The pair talked about their summers, with the Babylon actress stating, ‘I actually met my birth mom.’ Bowen revealed he watched the entirety of Suits, but added, ‘I don’t know what it’s about.’
Suddenly, Pete appeared in the studio while snacking on a bag of salty potato chips. ‘Yo!’ he casually called out to the comedians, who whirled around in shock to see Davidson.

Fineman sent an apologetic look to Pete and told him that, ‘Only cast or hosts are allowed in the studio,’ hinting that he would need to leave.
However, Davidson nonchalantly replied with, ‘Oh okay, I’ll do that. The host thing. I’ll host.’ The actress then cut in and said, ‘Pete, that’s not how it works. You can’t just say you’re hosting and -.’
She was immediately cut off when Davidson sent her what he called the ‘Kenan face,’ referencing to fellow SNL star, Kenan Thompson.

The actor has recently been romantically linked to Outer Banks actress, Madelyn Cline, 25. Speculation arose last month in September after he reportedly ‘spent the night’ with the star at the Beverly Hills Hotel, a source told Us Weekly.
The insider expressed, ‘Pete and Madelyn are dating. They spent the night together at the Beverly Hills Hotel and then had breakfast together there the next morning.’
‘They were really low-key and kept things casual, wearing baseball hats,’ the source further informed the outlet.
An insider recently informed DailyMail.com that Madelyn is having ‘fun’ with the former SNL star. ‘Madelyn anticipates her current relationship with Pete as just a good time and it will not be her last one.’
‘She thinks he is hilarious, and fun and she is all about hanging out with him, but she is 25, and she doesn’t want anything serious, she wants to chase fun, and she thinks Pete thinks the same and their relationship is all about having a good time.’
‘It is in no way serious, she is taking it day by day and that is all that works for her right now, Pete shouldn’t expect her to be his soulmate, she is not giving off those vibes.’
However, the pair have already enjoyed a trip together in Las Vegas and the actress was also seen boarding his private jet after a stand-up show in Phoenix.
