A personal trainer has revealed the huge toll appearing on a hit American reality series has had on her body.
Sydney-based Alexa Towersey, 42, starred on the 2024 season of the Discovery Channel’s US series Naked and Afraid XL, where contestants have to survive for 21 days naked in the Montana wilderness.
Alexa lost 13kg during her gruelling stay in the Rocky Mountains – but said she emerged a far better person.
‘One of the reasons I love taking on these massive challenges is that I want to push my boundaries, to see where my limits are,’ she explained.
‘I always thought I was strong, capable and independent. I just proved I am exactly the person I thought I was, that’s pretty f**king cool.’

Her already muscular physique became even more slender and ripped as she mastered challenges in the wild while naked, with her private parts blurred out on the screen.
‘Remember you miss one hundred percent of the shots you don’t take. So this week, may all your vibes say “I’ve got this”, she told her fans.
