Perrie Edwards has revealed the ‘horrendous’ regret Little Mix had which almost caused them to get back together prematurely after they split up in 2022.
The singer, 30, admitted she and fellow band mates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 32, and Jade Thirlwall, 31, started to panic after they ‘put their foot down’ to go solo.
Perrie has now said that after the band had been busy for 10 years, since finding fame by winning the X Factor in 2011, the girls were left ‘bored out of our minds’ with all the free time they had.
Speaking to Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett OBE on their Dish from Waitrose podcast, the mother-of-one said the girls were texting each other saying they were ‘sick’ of sitting around.
Perrie said: ‘I remember we sat at home and we were in a WhatsApp group and we were like, I’m bored. What are you up to today?

‘And Leigh-Anne would be like, “I’m actually sick of this.” And Jade’s like, “Yeah, why did we push for this again?”
‘And I’m like, “We’ve done it now, we have to see it through.” Cause we were like, should we go back? Like, should we just, it was so weird. It was like, that was abnormal to us.
‘We were bored out of our minds, it was horrendous and now I love doing nothing. Like I’m really good at it. So I don’t think I’d like struggle that much. I love working and I love also not working. So I think it’s a good balance.’
Last week Perrie flashed her abs in a pink metallic bikini as she danced to her new song Tears in a TikTok video with her family.
She displayed her toned figure in the thin-strapped two-piece while showing off her best dance moves.
In the sweet video, she taught her family the choreography to her hit new single.
She captioned the post: ‘Teaching my family the Tears choreography… it almost ended in tears [laughing face emoji].’
It came as fans praised her ‘mind-blowing’ second single Tears, which dropped on last month, as she revealed that her son Axel, two, features in her upcoming debut album.

Perrie showed off her vocals in her new single, the follow-up to April’s Forget About Us.
Her debut solo track was number one for two weeks on the Big Top 40 chart and peaked inside the top 10 of the Official Charts.
Perrie performed Forget About Us, Tears, and Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody in a dazzling gold dress at the Capital Summertime Ball recently.
On Heart FM last week, Perrie shared that fans will be able to hear Axel when the as yet unnamed album is released because he ‘loves’ to sing and she ‘can’t get rid of him’ when she’s in her home studio.
Perrie added: ‘But he’s only two… three in August. He’ll walk in and go. “I’m gonna sing a song”. And you’ll just stand and I’m like: ‘Oh, my goodness.”
‘All the producers and writers and everybody in the room have to just stand there and listen to Let It Go on repeat the same let few lyrics over… and it just keeps going … He thrives on people given him attention.’
Where Forget About Us was an Ed Sheeran pop ballad with country music influence, Tears is smooth soul with an ’80s vibe.
In the song, Perrie laments the tears she wasted on an ex and, while saying she knows she will never get them back, she vows he will never see her cry again.
Describing the inspiration for the track, she said: ‘This song is about coming out of a bad situation and letting go of what has happened in the past.

Last month Perrie took to the stage for her first solo performance at the Capital Summertime Ball held at Wembley Stadium
‘It’s that point where you feel empowered, and you leave the tears behind because you’ve come out the other side. It’s a sultry and smooth track that I’m really excited for you all to hear.’
Speaking on Capital Breakfast recently, Perrie discussed the difficulties of following up a strong debut.
She admitted: ‘There is a bit of pressure. I think there’s a bit of pressure because it’s so different. But I did warn everybody. I did bring a disclaimer to the table.
‘When I promoted Forget About Us. I was like, my second single and third single are so different from the first. So, I think now you know what I mean by that, because Tears is like sonically completely different.’
