It comes after Perrie, who suffers from agoraphobia, revealed how her mental health battle at times left her too scared to eat.
She revealed that she would be frightened to call room service for a meal while touring the world with her girl group, Little Mix.
‘Even when Little Mix became quite successful and we were touring the world and we were in hotel rooms and I’d be starving, could chew off my own leg, but I’d be too scared to ring,’ the British star told the Mental As Anyone podcast.
Perrie said she would, ‘practice what I was going to say’ and go over it in her head repeatedly before she could work up the courage.
The singer explained how her agoraphobia became crippling and led her to seek therapy.
‘It just felt like every time I left my front door, I was going to die,’ she said.
The hitmaker believes her agoraphobia was triggered by the rare health condition she has suffered from since birth, oesophageal atresia.
Oesophageal atresia atresia (EA) is described as ‘a birth defect where the oesophagus ends in a blind-ended pouch instead of connecting to the stomach, preventing food from reaching the digestive system.’

‘I’m starting to learn that maybe, growing up in a body that didn’t necessarily work made me feel quite trapped,’ she said.
‘I spent the majority of my time in hospital having surgeries. I couldn’t eat,’ she continued.
‘I think that kind of is why I maybe suffer now with the feeling of being trapped and all this anxiety stuff.’
Perrie recently spoke to the We Need To Talk podcast with Paul C. Brunson and candidly opened up about her crippling anxiety.
She explained: ‘I couldn’t leave the house in September… and it was so intense. I remember thinking, this is not what I want for my life… I want to get married. I want to have more kids.
‘I want to have a successful career. I want to do all these things. And I feel like I’m really limited in my capabilities… my capacity was not big. It was really minuscule.’
Agoraphobia involves fearing and avoiding places or situations that might cause panic and feelings of being trapped, helpless or embarrassed.
You may fear an actual or upcoming situation.
Perrie went on to share how agoraphobia severely affected her career: ‘With work and stuff, I thought, is it even worth it for me anymore? I don’t know if it is… I don’t want to feel that way every time I leave the house and go to work.’
Perrie credited therapy as being crucial to her recovery: ‘I have therapy every Friday. We got to the point in one of the sessions, and I kept saying, like, sometimes when I’m feeling anxious and I’m in a car and I’m in traffic or in certain situations, I start to feel a bit trapped.

‘And we kind of discovered that my whole upbringing and my whole childhood were in a body that wasn’t working, and that must have felt almost a little bit claustrophobic – being in a body that wasn’t doing the right functions. But I couldn’t escape it, and I couldn’t help it.’
It comes after some good news for Perrie, who announced that she is expecting a child.
Last month, she proudly showed off her blossoming baby bump as she hosted a listening party for her debut solo album.
The singer and her footballer fiancé Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, are already parents to son Axel, four.
Her pregnancy comes at an especially exciting time as she has launched her first solo album and stepped into a brand-new chapter of her music career.
Edwards released her album, titled Perrie, on September 26.
To mark the occasion, the star held a special listening event ahead of the album’s release on Friday.
