Pentangle drummer Terry Cox who played with , and the Bee Gees has died aged 89.
Tributes poured in for the music icon following his passing. His cause of death is currently unknown.
Pentangle announced in a statement: 'Terry Cox R.I.P. One of Pentangle's five points of light – a drummer of rare instinct and imagination.
'Alongside Danny Thompson, he formed a rhythm section that redefined the boundaries of folk, jazz, and beyond.
'Our love and condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who knew him.'
Terry also worked with the likes of Alexis Korner, Mike Batt, Scott Walker, Rupert Hine, Long John Baldry, Rick Springfield and Charles Aznavour.
He notably played the drums alongside Bowie on his iconic Space Oddity single.
Terry featured on Elton's eponymous sophomore album in 1970 and the musician's record Madman Across The Water in 1971.

Jacqui McShee is now the only surviving member from Pentangle's original band lineup.
Guitarists Bert Jansch and John Renbourn died in 2011 and 2016 respectively, while bassist Danny Thompson died last year.
Terry appeared in the Pentangle's eighties reunion and was also part of the reunion of the celebrated line-up in 2008 and 2011.
