MAFS UK’s Peggy Rose has revealed she’s split from Georges Berthonneau.
The couple went through a turbulent journey on the E4 show, nearly splitting several times before deciding to stay together at the final commitment ceremony.
Now three months on from the show’s finale, Peggy has revealed she’s parted ways from Georges, candidly admitting the impact has had on her mental health.
Sharing an Instagram statement on Valentine’s Day, she penned: ‘I’m so sorry I’ve been quiet on socials everybody but there’s a reason for my silence.
‘Me and Georges are no longer together and I’m absolutely heartbroken.’

Peggy continued: ‘It’s affected my mental health and it’s taken me weeks to come to terms with it but with it being Valentine’s Day, I can’t pretend to be OK.’
She signed off the post by thanking her followers for everything that they have done for them since shooting to fame on Married At First Sight.
‘Thank you to everyone who has supported us and our journey… Nobody is more upset about it than me x.’
It comes just days after the couple revealed they were planning to wed in real life having met on the Channel 4 show.
The couple were matched by the expert for the experiment last year but hit a rocky patch during the series.
Georges struggled with the lack of physical intimacy he received from Peggy, with the couple not sleeping together on the show.
Meanwhile, Peggy struggled with her family doubting their romance.
After a cliffhanger in the Final Vows episode, Peggy told how she was trusting Georges to ‘prove everyone that doubted you wrong’.
She said: ‘This is by far the biggest decision of my life. My family want the best for me, and family and respect to me are everything. They want me to be happy and put myself first. As much as I wanted to trust you, trust for me is something that is earned.
‘I may not trust easily, but I trust myself. And I also trust that you’ll prove everyone that doubted you wrong. So my decision is to stay and continue our story together.’
The couple recently revealed they were looking to take their relationship to the next stage by getting married for real and starting a family
Yet in recent weeks the pair seemed stronger than ever as they recently revealed they were looking to take their relationship to the next stage by getting engaged and starting a family.
Georges told Closer magazine in an interview published last week: ‘The plan is to have children. Obviously we’ve got to stay together, move in together and get engaged.
‘She lives at home, I live at mine. I’d have her move in with me, but she has so much stuff.’
The couple previously sparked fears their romance was over when they were noticeably absent from social media last year, but they took to Instagram to confirm they were stronger than ever in November last year.
Peggy wrote: ‘CONFIRMED: We’re still together! We held back on sharing and smothering socials to give ourselves some much needed quality time post the show ending.
‘Although we are in a relationship, we still have our own identity and individuality – that’s what makes us so strong.
‘As cliche as this sounds, we want to thank you all for your patience – it hasn’t been easy, but sharing our journey with you means the world as your ongoing love and support are everything to us.’
