Paul Sinha Slams ‘Rude Douchebag’ Comedian in New TV Feud

The Chase star Paul Sinha has branded a comedian ‘nasty and rude’ as he revealed who the ‘biggest douchebag [he’s] ever met in TV’ is on a podcast on Wednesday.

The Sinnerman, 55, who is well known for starring on ITV quiz show The Chase, has actually got 25 years of stand-up under his belt.

And on the latest episode of the Bad Boys Done Good podcast, Paul revealed that he was ‘hero-worshipping’ Adrian Edmondson, 68, at an ITV party before the comedian treated him poorly.

He said: ‘Well I was at an ITV party a few years ago when somebody basically was really really nasty and rude to me in conversation.

‘When I was trying to sort of fanboy about him and hero-worship him.

‘In the end he told his mate, you don’t even know who this twat is. And they walked off together laughing at my discomfort.

‘I wanted to shout out, ‘you’re not even the funniest person in your marriage. That would be Jennifer Saunders.’

Paul then revealed who he was speaking about, by name, he added: ‘Yeah I’m talking about Adrian Edmondson… he’s a douchebag.’

Paul has had huge success on The Chase, which he joined in 2011, and has gone on to appear on The Weakest Link, University Challenge: The Professionals, Are You an Egghead?, Mastermind, and Taskmaster.

He even hosted his own quiz show, Paul Sinha’s TV Showdown for two seasons before it concluded in 2022.

Before joining the ITV show, Paul was a successful stand-up comedian performing in festivals and on international stages and currently has tickets for his shows for sale.

Meanwhile Adrian, who is married to actress and comedian Jennifer Saunders, found fame in the comedy scene in the 1980s.

Daily Mail have contacted Adrian’s representatives for comment.

It comes after Paul revealed two terrifying health scares after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s during the ‘worst week and a half of his life’ last month.

The Chase star was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in May 2019.

Parkinson’s is a neurodegenerative condition and the illness effects the nerve cells in the brain that control movement.

Paul appeared on BBC’s The One show as part of a segment focusing on this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Paul opened up about performing at the festival and his health.

He explained that while attending Edinburgh in 2023 he suffered two heart attacks.

‘The last time I came to Edinburgh Festival was 2023, I had a show that I really enjoyed but my time here was slowly spoilt by the fact that the first week, I had a small heart attack, and in the third week, I had a small heart attack.’

‘That’s not the Edinburgh that you want,’ Paul said.

Paul continued to work throughout the festival, but he was eventually admitted to hospital later in 2023 and had to undergo an operation.

‘I had a coronary artery bypass operation, which I can honestly say was the worst week and a half of my life,’ Paul sadly admitted.

He added: ‘Everything has been a sort of comeback since then. Steady, unspectacular comeback, no great drama.’

His husband Oliver, who he married in 2019, made an appearance in the clip, and revealed how he is always on hand to help Paul with his stand-up shows and ensuring he takes his medications to control his Parkinson’s symptoms.

Looking to the future, Paul told the camera: ‘Life’s short, and I think it’s very important to get the balance right between doing the right thing for your health and not getting rid of the stuff in life that brings you joy. It’s a difficult process and it’s a difficult balancing act.’
