Chance Hogan, 27, was charged on suspicion of domestic battery in May after an incident at the Venice, Los Angeles home he shares with his actor father. 

Police were called to the scene after reports of a domestic disturbance on the premises.

Chance was tracked down by police and taken into custody, with his bail set at $20,000, according to law enforcement sources, the New York Post reported. 

In images obtained by the publication, Hogan, 86, could be seen talking to officers outside his home alongside an unnamed woman after the incident occurred.

'We are unable to provide further details due to domestic battery confidentiality,' an LAPD spokesperson told Fox News.

The arrest sparked a reunion between Chance's divorced parents, who are working together to save their son, Woman's Day reported on Monday. 

The Australian actor and the American actress, 68, have remained 'calm and focused' during what has been 'an extremely difficult time', a source tells the publication.

The pair are 'totally united' in their mission, and share 'a lot of love and compassion between them', the insider said. 

'They both privately agree that Chance is an impressionable character who has fallen into some bad habits,' the source revealed. 

'They're determined to get through it together, but this is shaping up to be an extremely long summer.'

Crocodile Dundee co-stars Hogan and Kozlowski married in 1990, and .

Chance, an aspiring musician, is their only child together, but Paul has five other children, who he shares with his first wife, Noelene Edwards.     

The iconic actor has previously expressed that he stays in the USA just to Chance. 

Hogan told 7NEWS that he is remaining in America for the time being, in order to support Chance, whom he referred to as his 'troubled son,' in his career.
