The multi award-winning Broadway production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I has returned to the UK, following its season at The London Palladium.

In November, Rachel went Instagram official with her Dancing On Ice boyfriend Brendyn Hatfield as she paid tribute to her S Club 7 bandmates and fans.

The singer took to the social media platform to share backstage moments from the group’s ongoing Good Times Tour.

S Club 7 were celebrating their 25th anniversary tour without Hannah Spearritt, 42, who opted out following the tragic death of group member and her former partner Paul Cattermole.

The post featuring Brendyn also had Rachel’s two children, Amelie, 12 and Minnie, nine, along with her friends.

Rachel, who came second place in season six of Strictly Come Dancing, also posed with her manager Benji Rom.

Rachel and Brendyn first met on Dancing On Ice in 2022, as he was Rachel’s partner.

They unfortunately among the first couples to be eliminated, leaving the competition in Week 4, however they didn’t allow that to sour their relationship.

A source said: ‘Rachel had a really great friendship and partnership with Brendyn and it keeps developing…she wasn’t expecting to find love again at this stage in her life but she’s feeling positive about what’s to come and hopeful about a new start.’

The S Club 7 star took to her Instagram Stories to let her fans know of the sad news.

She wrote: ‘I just wanted to share with you all that after time and consideration the difficult decision has been made for Alex and I to separate.

‘While we are no longer partners in marriage, we will remain partners in parenthood to our beautiful girls and continue with love and respect for each other.

‘I feel so incredibly grateful for the life we built together and will now continue to be focused on moving forward united as a family.’

Rachel and Alex, who were childhood sweethearts, married at Claridge’s in London in 2009.

The pair walked down the aisle to S Club 7’s hit Never Had A Dream Come True and her bandmates – Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole and Tina Barrett – were there to watch them say ‘I do’.

Hannah Spearritt reportedly ‘broke down in tears and told friends she was ready to quit Dancing On Ice’ after struggling in intense training sessions.

The former S Club star, 42, who suffers from an autoimmune disease, found the long days ‘harder than expected.’

It’s been a stressful year for Hannah amid her health struggles and the tragic death of her S Club bandmate and ex-boyfriend Paul Cattermole in April 2023.

According to The Mirror, she missed a series of training sessions, which had a negative impact on her progress.

A source told the publication: ‘Before Christmas there was a spell where Hannah was missing more than one session a week. Losing those hours has a real impact.’

They added: ‘She has found training harder than expected and at times has been in tears. She confided in pals about her struggle and told them she wanted to walk away.

‘Luckily she has really rallied since Christmas and now seems to be in a much better place.’

Last week, Hannah detailed her struggles with an autoimmune disease which left her unable to cook for herself or get on a train.

The singer left S Club’s tour and said ‘everything’ changed for her after Paul’s death, admitting she had been having ‘crippling panic attacks’ before quitting.

Now, Hannah has spoken about her struggles with an autoimmune condition, which caused symptoms including chronic fatigue, brain fog and vertigo.

She said she first had similar symptoms in 2013 after having breast implants, and she and her husband Adam Thomas believe the condition was triggered by two miscarriages in 2022 and stress.

Hannah told Hello! Magazine: ‘I don’t think I realised how much I’d deteriorated because it happened so gradually, I had no energy and couldn’t even get on a train or cook dinner.

‘That affected my mental health, too, because I’ve always been a physical and sporty person, it’s only when you get better and can do things you love again that you realise how bad things were.’

Hannah said she has only been able to join the 2024 series of Dancing On Ice thanks to an expert in regenerative medicine, who she said used a serum derived from her own blood to help stabilise her condition.

The star – who shares daughters Taya, five, and Tora, three, with Adam – admitted this year has been ‘traumatic’ due to her health woes and the death of her bandmate and ex-boyfriend Paul.

‘It’s been a tough and challenging year, and things happened that were quite traumatic,’ Hannah said.

Hannah has recently released a memoir Facing the Music and admitted it wasn’t easy to look back at her life whilst grieving Paul’s death, but said she fondly remembers their early S Club days.

Hannah previously spoke about leaving S Club’s reunion tour after Paul’s death and told how it gave her time to reflect on whether it was the right thing to do.

In October, she told The Sun: ‘Will I ever perform with them again? I just don’t know, I’m glad that the tour is still going ahead and the songs will live on, but now I’m looking forward, not backwards.’

She also shared that she had been having ‘crippling panic attacks’ before quitting the tour as she spoke about how her health had been suffering at the time.

‘I hadn’t been in the best of health — I’ve got a compromised immune system and stress makes it worse,’ she went on.

‘My body just couldn’t cope with everything that was happening. I wasn’t myself, I was getting these crippling panic attacks, was suffering from really bad vertigo and was tired all the time.’

She explained that after Paul’s death, she realised she couldn’t rejoin S Club for the tour, admitting ‘it just didn’t feel right’.

Hannah apologised to S Club’s fans for not deciding to leave but said she had to do what was best for herself and her family.

Hannah is now joining the line-up of Dancing On Ice, but made a cryptic comment about her former S Club bandmate Rachael amid claims of a feud between the pair.

Rachel, 45, is expected to be in the studio audience to support boyfriend and pro skater Brendyn Hatfield.

Bosses are said to be facing difficulties on set due to a ‘feud’ between the former bandmates, after it was claimed that Hannah is no longer on speaking terms with the rest of S Club following her departure.

Now, Hannah has fuelled the feud rumours by making a cryptic comment about Rachel – who competed with Brendyn on Dancing On Ice last year – on Thursday’s episode of Lorraine.

Chatting on the ice during rehearsals, Ria Hebden asked Hannah if she had asked ex Dancing On Ice star Rachel for ‘any advice’ before the show’s January 14 launch.

However, Hannah brushed off the remark as she simply said: ‘I know it sounds selfish but I’m just focusing on me.’

Rachel was paired with her now-boyfriend Brendyn on the show last year, but they were one of the first couples to be eliminated, leaving the competition in Week 4.

She went Instagram official with the skating professional in November and she is expected to be in the audience cheering him on as he is paired with comedian Lou Sanders on this year’s show.
