Paris Hilton treated her family to her viral ‘sliving lasagne’ as she took to Instagram to share a video as she got to work on her signature dish on Monday.
The model, 42, first shared her lasagne recipe with the world back in 2020, as the first dish she made on her YouTube series, Cooking with Paris.
While it is clearly a tried and tested recipe, the finished dish looked rather dry as it emerged from the oven.
Paris appeared pleased with herself as she lifted it out the oven, proudly announcing to her army of followers ‘Sliving Lasagne’.
Yet there seemed to be a lack of bubbly melted cheese, as the top layer of the classic Italian dish was covered in dry and curling pasta sheets.

Even Paris herself seemed to visibly struggle to cut through the dish as she forced the knife in, before admitting: ‘It’s hard to cut through’.
Unlike traditional lasagne recipes which include a creamy béchamel sauce, Paris used a single layer of thick ricotta cheese before topping the whole thing off with grated mozzarella.
Paris also cooked her meat and sauce separately, and in her original video showed fans that a vital step is draining all the juice from the meat before she added it to the sauce.
Pouring the meaty juice down the sink, she explained: ‘You need to get all the oily stuff, it’s so nasty’.
The recipe states that both onions and garlic are optional, but on this occasion Paris chose to add the vegetables, ensuring she wore her sunglasses protect her eyes.
While Paris provided no quantities or measurements in her original video, she explained she does 11 turns on the pepper grinder to represent the good luck of 11:11.
Coined by Paris herself, she calls her infamous lasagne the ‘sliving lasagne’, a blend of the words slaying and living.
Paris took the world by storm with her lasagne recipe back in 2020 and even appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show to show viewers how to make it.
Tucking in, Kelly exclaimed: ‘Oh My God this is really good. Wow. Good recipe. Girl, that is so good,’ before telling the audience: ‘You’re gonna want to cook this too, trust me’.

Yet not all reviews of the dish have been so positive over the years.
Food writer Callan Boys revealed that he made Paris’ popular dish and claimed ‘it tasted like a shoe’.
Detailing the cooking process in The Sydney Herald, he wrote: ‘Infamous Lasagne is as basic as it is huge. There’s no béchamel, onion or wine and certainly no parmesan.’
Highlighting the lack of herbs, spices, onion, carrot, celery, wine, parmesan and béchamel, he described the dish as a ‘terribly bland time’ with the cheese mix a ‘masterclass in clumpy stodge’.
He concluded: ‘Infamous Lasagne is even worse after a night in the fridge when it tastes like a leather shoe dunked in meat pie.’
Elsewhere, Italian chef Vincenzo took to his YouTube channel to review the recipe.
The cook criticised Paris for cooking the meat without any onions or vegetable first, explaining that this is where the meet gets the majority of its flavour.
As Paris proceeded to pour all of the juice from the meat down the sink, he exclaimed: ‘I have never never never never never seen this in my life, and by the way that sauce that she’s talking about his full of flavour.’
Comments on the original cooking video also poke fun at the star’s recipe and unusual approach to cooking.
One wrote: ‘As an Italian, I’m laughing and crying at the same time’, while a second penned: ‘I can’t believe I missed this a year ago. This is amazing. I’m crying laughing. This whole video is beyond.’
Another laughed: ‘Looool love how she was too lazy to chop onions and garlic and then say “i feel my lasagne should not have onion and garlic in it” so relatable’.

Another added: ‘If I’m ever in a bad mood I watch this video. Nothing brings be so much joy than watching Paris “cook”. We love a sliving queen’.
Another wrote: ‘This whole video in a nutshell: “Lasagne’s like, very hard to make. Well, actually I don’t think it is but people think it is, but it’s actually really fun and really easy. But I guess it is a lot of steps compared to like, making toast or something”.’
Paris previously told Australian breakfast show Sunrise ‘I can cook anything. Mexican food, Italian, I love to do tacos, I love to bake and make cookies and cupcakes.
‘I basically can cook everything. I’ve always been in the kitchen with my mum since I was a little girl.’
