‘I’ve been getting ready my whole life for this film,’ she joked, per Variety.
‘I never felt something so strongly about something [as this film]. It was do it, just be it, and I did it.’
According to the film’s synopsis, Pamela’s character struggles with what to do next and tries to repair a strained relationship with her daughter, after years of focusing mostly on her showgirl family.
Her world is upended when the show’s stage manager, played by Dave Bautista, announces that the curtains will close for good in just two weeks.
Joining Pamela on stage are Kiernan Shipka and Brenda Song as the younger generation of dancers stepping into the limelight.
Billie Lourd plays Pamela’s estranged daughter, adding emotional depth to the character’s personal struggles.
