Paddy McGuinness has revealed what traits makes him ‘putty in a woman’s hands’ as he discussed what he looks for in a partner.
The TV presenter, 51, split from his wife Christine in 2021 after just over a decade of marriage and the former couple are now co-parenting their children together.
Joining Jessie Ware and her mother Lennie on their Table Manners podcast, Paddy opened up about his past relationships and they sat down for lunch.
While the singer and songwriter, 40, made him a chicken dinner, Paddy recalled: ‘Growing up it was just me and my mum and I would see my dad on weekends.
‘She gave up her life for me and I didn’t realise until I was older, after she died. I wish I could have spoiled her rotten. My mum would make pies, big Sunday dinners.
‘I am a real mummy’s boy and she would do all my dinners and washing. Weirdly, every partner I’ve had, from right way back when, we never did any cooking or anything like that.’

He added: ‘Everyone who makes me something now I am instantly putty in their hands. I’m like, “this is amazing, this is the best!”‘
Lennie asked: ‘Can I ask a cheeky question are you dating? Because I’d love to see Take Me Out again.’
‘The mad thing about Take Me Out is that when I’m out and about kids still ask me about it because it’s still repeated,’ Paddy replied.
‘I think the way things are in the world now, we live in a strange time where things get taken out of context. If you did it now, there would be too many people saying, “you can’t say that”.’
‘I’d be all over a charity special but as a series I don’t know. Now, at the age I’m at, if I’m taking to a 20-year-old about dating, I wouldn’t have a clue.’
‘We are one of the most successful dating shows. We’ve had about six marriages.’
Recently Paddy revealed his biggest fears when it comes to dating as he navigates being single for the first time in 16 years.
He told The Mirror: ‘This is the first time I have been single in about 16 years and it’s a bit of a mad time for me because the whole dating world has changed.’

He said: ‘Everyone who makes me food now I am instantly putty in their hands. I’m like, “this is amazing, this is the best!”
The presenter continued: ‘I think it’s tricky because if I date someone the same age as me, we probably have more baggage than Heathrow between us.’
‘And if I date someone younger, we’ve got nothing in common. By younger I mean 30 years old which really gets me down because when I was a kid, a 30-year-old was decrepit.’
The former Take Me Out host also jokingly quipped that when it comes to sex, younger women ‘know what they want and they don’t mind telling you’.
Christine has also spoken out about her relationship status and recently opened up on how she successfully co-parents with Paddy.
The model, 36, sat down with OK! Magazine in December and lifted the lid on what is going on in her romantic life as she set the record straight on her relationship status.
Christine admitted: ‘I have absolutely no romance goals whatsoever. I’m just focusing on my children and when I can find time for myself, I’ll socialise. But it’s not the right time for me to have a relationship, while my children are so young.’
Elaborating on co-parenting, she explained: ‘We have a planner in the kitchen between me, Patrick and the children, with the dates of any events we’ve got.
‘We put it on there and try not to clash with each other. It’s the same with family members coming over.’
