Orlando Bloom appeared to keep a low-profile as he watched his fiancée, singer Katy Perry, launch into space on a historic, all-women mission Monday morning.
The popstar, 40, joined six noteworthy women, including Jeff Bezos’ fiancé Lauren Sanchez, 55, on a nail-biting 11-minute suborbital flight during which the crew could be heard screaming on the broadcast.
The Amazon tycoon is the one behind the program, which hopes to send more people into space and make it more accessible in the future.
The commercial spacecraft carried Perry and Sanchez as well as CBS co-host Gayle King, 70, filmmaker Kieranne Flynn, 57, and NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, 38, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyne, 33, on the brief, zero gravity joyride.
During liftoff in West Texas, the rocket’s single BE-3PM engine fired and began blasting the crew into space at 9.30am ET.
Burning a mixture of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, the engine generated around 50,000kg of force while producing nothing but water vapor.
Within minutes, the rocket hit speeds exceeding 2,000 miles per hour – over twice the speed of sound.
As they lifted off into space, the sight was an emotional one, with Bloom standing alongside the couple’s four-year-old daughter Daisy.

However, Bloom appeared to be largely keeping out of the spotlight during the big event, as he wasn’t captured much on camera with many fans taking to social media to ask: ‘Where the f**k is Orlando?’
Notably, he also didn’t rush to greet Perry as soon as she emerged from the capsule after landing safely on the ground.
As she was coming out of the capsule, she dramatically kissed the ground and showed off the daisy that she had brought on the trip with her.
But he let her have the moment all to herself, as she spoke with media alone.
Bloom didn’t appear to give any interviews to reporters who were covering the liftoff, either, giving the spotlight entirely to his fiancée.
He was only spotted in one photo with his hand over his mouth as he watched the ladies go into space.
The Pirates of the Caribbean even wore a muted outfit to watch his wife, clad in a black shirt and dark-colored baseball cap.

Right before the historic mission, Bezos gave the crew some words of encouragement, per Page Six.
‘I’m so excited for you. I don’t want to get off. I want to go with you,’ he told them.
‘When you get back, I can’t wait to hear how it’s changed you. I love all of you. See you soon. Godspeed,’ the Amazon founder said.
Before Perry took off, she broke down in a morning interview when asked if she had a message for her family.
‘My message is that I love them and I am so full of love,’ she said, wiping tears from her eyes.
‘I am so grateful to be representing fearless females in my family.’
