Olivia Wilde enjoys sexy date night with former basketball player after ex Harry Styles reacts to new romance

Olivia Wilde enjoyed a romantic date night with her new boyfriend, Dane DiLiegro, amid claims that her ex Harry Styles feels ‘massive relief’ she has moved on.

Following reports that the English singer, 31, is ‘happy’ that she’s met ‘someone new’ after their brutal split in late 2022, the actress, 41, looked smitten as she celebrated her birthday with DiLiegro, 36, over an intimate dinner at Dan Tana’s in Los Angeles. 

For the occasion, the Don’t Worry Darling director rocked a black minidress under a matching blazer and a pair of knee-high cowboy boots. 

As they waited for their car, the couple, who DailyMail.com confirmed were dating in January, had a lively conversation outside the celebrity hotspot.

DiLiegro, a former basketball player, proved himself to be quite the gentleman as he opened the car door for Wilde as they left the restaurant together. 

The retired athlete previously played professional basketball for eight seasons for teams in Italy and Israel before transitioning into acting. 

In college, he played college basketball at University of New Hampshire before going pro.

Among his career highlights is winning a gold medal with Team USA as a basketball player at the 18th Maccabiah Games in 2009 in Israel.

DiLiegro, who is six-foot-eight, holds USA, Italian, and Israeli citizenship and currently resides in Los Angeles.

In his off time, he served as an apprentice under famed Tuscan butcher Dario Cecchini for multiple years.

In 2019, he hosted a travel series on YouTube called Adventure Monday.

He has since gone on to appear in various productions like American Horror Stories, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Sweet Home, and the 2022 film Prey.

Wilde’s sighting comes the same week a source revealed that Styles, who she dated for two years, ‘still cares’ about Wilde and felt bad about their breakup. 

‘Harry was gutted when he realized he wanted out of his relationship with Olivia, because he knew she would take it hard,’ an insider told Life & Style. ‘And in fairness, he had made a ton of promises to her.’

The source continued: ‘She had called off her engagement for him and put her career on the line, so clearly, she believed he was in it for the long run, too. And at first, he was even talking about marrying her.’

‘The issue with him is he’s always all in at the start, but long-term commitment just never seems to work for him, even if he thinks that’s what he wants at the outset,’ they went on to claim.

The insider noted that Styles ‘always feels bad when he has to break a girl’s heart, but with Olivia he felt a hundred times worse because she’d put so much on the line for him.’

‘He felt so crap letting her down,’ the insider alleged. ‘And then it took so long for her to let go, she was wearing his shirts in public for ages after they split up, it was rough.’ 

Now, he sees her new romance as a ‘massive relief’ and is thrilled ‘she’s finally met someone new.’ 

Her split from Styles came after the end of her nine-year relationship with Jason Sudeikis which a source told DailyMail.com ‘took a toll on her and was even more difficult because there were children involved.’

She and Sudeikis, who dated from 2011 to 2020, share son Otis, 10, and daughter Daisy, eight.

In January, an insider told DailyMail.com: ‘Olivia keeps her private life and her love life private because she knows that this is the only way something will last.’ 

Wilde reportedly ‘finds Dane incredibly attractive, and they have a lot in common.’

‘He is passionate and he knows how to treat a woman,’ the insider continued. ‘They both love sports. They enjoy being around each other and not afraid to show affection when they are out together.’

A second insider added: ‘She’s dating and having fun. She’s working non-stop so not looking for anything serious.’

Wilde and DiLiegro first sparked dating rumors earlier this week after they were seen looking cozy at a basketball game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics.

The pair were not shy about hiding their feelings for each other as they cuddled up at the Crypto.com Arena on their first public sighting.

In December 2023, Wilde was seen out with film producer Bryn Mooser.

The two have known each other for at least 15 years, and Olivia previously served as a co-executive producer on the 2013 documentary short The Rider And The Storm, which Bryn directed.

It is unclear if they went out on a date or had a strictly professional relationship.

Wilde has kept her relationships under wraps since calling it quits with Styles in late 2022.

In November 2022, it was claimed that Olivia was ‘disappointed’ that her relationship with Harry did not work out after nearly two years of dating.

At the time, a source told People that the breakup was ‘difficult’ for her.

‘They have had some issues, but Olivia thought they were gonna work through it all,’ the insider explained. ‘She is disappointed. It’s just a tricky situation, though.’
