Olivia Bowen insisted she has ‘bigger things in life to worry about than being f***ing skinny’ as she discussed the pressures of losing weight on Wednesday.
The former Love Island star, 30, welcomed son Abel, two, her first child with husband and fellow islander Alex Bowen, 33, in June 2022.
Despite previously admitting that she ‘really really struggled’ with her postpartum figure, so much so that she ‘hated’ herself ‘beyond belief’, Olivia has now said she has accepted the way she looks and has more going on in her life than to be hitting the gym all the time.
The mother-of-one explained how she believes the pressure started for her due to 90’s and 2000’s magazines featuring really skinny models of ‘what society expected us to be’.
Olivia, who’s husband Alex is a personal trainer, admitted she ‘feels really guilty’ as he is ‘so fit’ and she finds exercising ‘hard’ but she hopes that her challenges ‘help other women feel like it’s normal to struggle’.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline at Winder Wonderland in London with W7 Cosmetics, Olivia said: ‘You know what I always feel really guilty because Alex is so fit and so naturally fit, but he’s been doing it for so long and it’s just so hard inside for me.

‘I’ve always found it [exercising] a challenge and always found it a task. So I go through peaks and drops a bit.
‘Every woman has pressure [to ‘snap back’] and I feel like it isn’t just me facing it.
‘Women that grew up like in my era are in like the 90s and the 2000’s, the magazines would only show the skinny models, I feel like we went through a really tough era of seeing what society expected us to be.
‘So I don’t feel like it is Love Island that has made me like that. I feel like it is more just the pressures I’ve grown up with.
‘That pressure is really hard to manage but I guess the plus side I find being on Instagram is that I can try and combat it in a way and help other women feel like it’s normal to struggle.
‘But you just have to kind of realize that there’s bigger things in life to worry about, than to be skinny. I’ve got more going on in my life than to be to be f***ing skinny.
Discussing whether she and Alex would like another child, the TV personality added: ‘I don’t wanna force it.
‘It’s not something that has to be done right now, I just wanna see but I’d love for him to have a sibling because he loves babies and he’s so good with other children so it would be nice to have that.’
