Love Island Olivia Bowen has come under fire from some of her followers after sharing a picture of her son Abel’s bedroom on Instagram.
The Love Island star, 29, who has her own home interiors page, shared a picture of her son’s bedroom after she added a new detail to the room.
Olivia revealed she had switched her son’s crib for a toddler bed because he had begun to try and climb out of the cot.
The reality personality, who has recently purchased a new home with her husband Alex, 32, currently lives in a stunning mansion in Essex.
She regularly shares updates from the home, but some of her followers believed the positioning in the bed in the room was potentially ‘dangerous’.

New chapter: Olivia revealed she had switched her son’s crib for a toddler bed because he had begun to try and climb out of the cot
The bed is positioned up against the wall, with one side of the bed facing the room, which Olivia said she has ordered side guards for.
However in the comments section of the post, one person questioned: ‘I believe you aren’t meant to beds against the wall?
‘It’s a safety hazard. There’s sadly been a few children die because they have got trapped between the bed and the wall.’
Another put: ‘I second this!! I’ve heard some real tragic stories of toddlers rolling over in a deep sleep and suffocating themselves between the bed and wall.
‘I don’t know what an appropriate sized gap is, I just know there should be a gap between the wall and bed xx’
One also called out the star and put: ‘You need a bed bar Olivia, my daughter spent the first couple of weeks lying by the safety gate.
‘Used to break my heart to see her lying there but then she got used to staying in her bed.’
A follower then defended Olivia and claimed: ‘If she had it away from wall, people would comment child could fall and one wrong placed fall can kill a child …there is nothing that will be ‘correct’,’ followed by a rolling-eye Emoji.

Olivia and Alex recently cemented their reputation as budding property entrepreneurs by selling their luxury Essex house at vast profit.
The couple paid £1,080,000 for their four bedroom detached home in the Essex countryside in February 2020 before embarking on their refurbishment project.
It went on the market for ‘offers in excess’ of £1.5million just three weeks ago and has already been sold subject to contract.
The exact sale price has not yet been disclosed, but if it matched the asking price it would net Olivia and Alex a cool on-paper profit of £420,000 or more, depending on the size of the accepted offer.
But any gross profit will be dented by the tens of thousands of pounds that they are believed spent on improvements to the house – including an extension.
MailOnline can also reveal that the couple who were runners up on Love Island in 2016 have also been building their own buy-to-let empire by purchasing what appear to be rental properties.
Companies House records disclose that they incorporated a company called The Bowen Homes in December 2020, making themselves joint owners and directors.
The company now owns two investment properties in Wolverhampton, one worth £175,000 bought in June last year and another worth £142,000 bought in May 2021.
Olivia, 29, also has a company worth almost £500,000, which deals with media representation and the sale of textiles, clothing, fur, footwear and leather goods.
She and Alex, 32, made a series of dramatic changes to their Essex house after they bought it, including swapping round the kitchen and living room and creating a cinema room.
They were granted planning consent in June last year to build a single storey link extension to a separate garage, creating a new games and entertaining room, and an office leading to their gym.
Estate agents details for the property describe it as an ‘impressive handsome family home’ with ‘fabulous gardens’ including space for outside entertaining and a ‘beautiful bespoke kitchen/dining room’.
The agents describe the main bedroom as ‘most desirable’ with a newly refurbished en-suite bathroom

The description says the sale is ‘a rare opportunity to acquire this individual detached family home with the most amazing views over neighbouring countryside’.
It adds: ‘The property has been extended and significantly refurbished to an exemplary standard by the current owners and sits centrally on its private plot in excess of an acre, offering beautifully presented living accommodation.’
The agents describe the main bedroom as ‘most desirable’ with a newly refurbished en-suite bathroom and adjoining dressing room or fifth bedroom and a balcony ‘with far reaching countryside views’.
The details continue: ‘The property is extremely private with electronically operated gates to the front onto a gravel driveway offering parking for numerous vehicles and a garage.
‘The private rear gardens have great entertaining terraces with built-in bar, state of the art speaker system and hot tub area.’

It is believed to have been filmed in September as Olivia is seen saying that her son Abel who was born in June last year is now 15-months-old.
Estate agents records show that the house was put on the market on October 4.
The episode features former England star Peter Crouch’s wife Abbey walking into Olivia’s home, and declaring: ‘This is amazing’.
The former model adds on screen: ‘My first impression was ‘wow’. What a staircase. It’s modern – full of neutral tones. It’s very bright and spacious, beautiful, gorgeous’.
Olivia explains in the show how she and Alex bought the 20-year-old house in 2020, just years after they appeared on Love Island.
She tells how she had seen the house being built when she was a girl living nearby and had become ‘obsessed’ with it.
The Love Island pair defied predictions by staying together, and forging careers as reality TV stars and influencers after becoming engaged in 2017
She and Alex (pictured) who are said to be worth a reported £4.2million became the first Love Island couple to marry in 2018
Olivia adds in the episode: ‘We saw it come online and could not believe it had come up for sale. I think it happened for a reason. It’s just weird. It’s that one house I had an obsession with when I was younger’.

She also recently opened up about her battle against post natal depression in recent months following a traumatic 30 hour labour when she gave birth to her son.
Olivia has also admitted having therapy after suffering recurring problems with anxiety.
She told earlier this month how she wanted to speak out to encourage women to make more time for themselves in a bid to feel mentally and physically healthier.
