Olivia Attwood has claimed her new reality series Bad Boyfriends features couples with ‘bigger foundations’ and ‘loyalties’ than those who meet for the first time on rivals shows like Love Island.
The series follows eight unsuspecting men, who are badly behaved, lazy or even unfaithful as Olivia, 33, attempts to mould them into the perfect partners for their long-term girlfriends.
Speaking ahead of the first episode the Loose Women star said that the couples shared history would help their relationships survive in the public eye, amid former Love Island stars Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury’s shock split.
Saying: ‘I think the thing about the relationships is that they all have a bigger foundation that existed before the show, so I think when your relationship exists purely on a show and then you’re in the public eye, your navigating a new relationship and your navigating your fame’.
‘Whats going to work in [Bad Boyfriend’s participants] advantage is that they’ve had history, they’ve dated for years they have family connections together and i think that is easier than navigating a new surroundings’.

‘It also isn’t live format, we filmed this a few months ago, so there’s a decompressing time before it comes out, they are not coming out to the fact [viewers] were just watching it yesterday,’
‘And they can process how it went how they feel about it so there are lots of things that work to their advantage, I hope’.
