Daisy May Cooper reveals her very surprising saviour when she hit ‘rock bottom’ amid divorce from Will Weston and admits she hasn’t owned a phone for two years because of her anxiety

Daisy May Cooper has revealed her surprising saviour when she hit rock bottom amid her divorce from Will Weston.

The comedian, 38, and ex Will, who share two children together, filed for divorce in July 2021 after just two years of marriage.

Daisy has now revealed that she turned to internet forum Mumsnet as her marriage broke down during the Coronavirus pandemic, admitting the women that replied to her ‘f***ing saved me’.

Speaking on Olivia Attwood’s podcast So Wrong It’s Right, Daisy opened up about the ‘lowest point’ in her life and revealed her hit BBC series Am I Being Unreasonable? was inspired by the website where parents share advice and support.

She said: ‘The new series is more intense and people may hate it…. the name comes from Mumsnet. It was during lockdown and I was at my lowest and my marriage was breaking down and I didn’t know where to turn.

‘I posted anomalously and had all these women, I will never know who they are and they won’t know they’ve helped me, but they gave me the most amazing advice and they f***ing saved me.

‘Their reassurance saved me, honestly, and I suppose, Am I Being Unreasonable? is my ode to them.’

The This Country star is a proud mother to daughter Pip, five, and three-year-old son Jack with her ex husband Will and welcomed son Benji in June last year with her boyfriend Anthony Huggins.

Daisy added that she doesn’t have anything to do with her children’s schools due to not having a phone for the past two years.

She explained: ‘Because of work I don’t do the school gate stuff – my ex-husband, who has been brilliant, he does all of that.

‘So, I don’t have to do any of it, and I tell you what, it is absolutely brilliant. I don’t get any PTA emails, I’m not in any WhatsApp groups because I haven’t owned a phone for like two years [because] of my crippling anxiety and WhatsApp was just literally sending me over the edge.

‘Social media was just awful, so everything goes to my partner’s phone and he just tells me.’

It comes after Daisy revealed she doesn’t want any more kids after her ‘terrible experience’ with childbirth.

She admitted that having a third child has in ‘no way’ made her want to have any more because the premature birth was so ‘scary’ last time.

Daisy added: ‘I had all these women who gave me the most amazing advice and they f***ing saved me. Their reassurance saved me and I suppose, Am I Being Unreasonable? is my ode to them’

She told Closer in October: ‘No way, Oh my God. It was terrible. It was so scary having him seven weeks premature.

‘I don’t think I’ve quite processed it. It’s one of those things that five years down the line I’ll think…”F***, how did we get through that?”‘

The TV star. who tends to keep her children out of the public eye, admitted that the little one is ‘fine now’ but jokingly called him a ‘miserable b******’.

Daisy and Anthony met after matching on Hinge. They were first seen together attending a car boot sale in Cheltenham, but the TV BAFTA Awards were their first notable public appearance as a couple in May.

She previously told Fabulous Mag: ‘Now I understand a relationship shouldn’t be rowing at 3am, then walking out and turning your phone off.

‘That’s not what love is. Love is being able to live together on a day-to-day basis, enjoying each other’s company, being completely yourself and having that accepted.

Daisy divorced Will shortly after her second child was born, and it came about after she read about a woman who felt as if she had become ‘trapped’ by marriage.

Speaking about their split, Daisy gushed that Will is ‘amazing’ and an ‘incredible’ father but admitted lockdown ‘shone a spotlight’ on their marital difficulties.

She said they both realised that ‘there wasn’t real love there’ and said she felt that she needed to be by herself.

Daisy said she thinks Will would agree with her and that they both felt pressure to get married and settle down once they reached their thirties.

The podcasters confirmed they are the hosts of a brand-new Kiss radio show called The Sunday Roast.

Pete had a brutal message for Maura Higgins on Valentine’s Day after announcing a new project with his ex-girlfriend’s enemy – just hours after his split from Maura was revealed.

Former TOWIE star Pete jokingly said: ‘I don’t know why they’ve trusted us with this, but we’re going to have our own show on Sunday’s, 2-5. We’re part of the Kiss family baby!’

But the announcement came at an unfortunate time for Maura, 34, who has reportedly been feuding with Olivia over similarities in their respective careers.

MailOnline revealed last year that the Bad Boyfriends host felt Maura had been trying to replicate the successes of career, even signing up to the same PR agency.

Now, Olivia has had the final laugh teaming up with Pete for their new radio show, with their first live broadcast just weeks away.

Olivia added: ‘We’re learning on the job so bear with us, but there’s going to be LOLs, us being mean to each other. The not swearing is going to be tricky…’

‘We signed the contract and clearly didn’t read it,’ Pete explained.

Pete had a brutal message for Maura Higgins on Valentine’s Day after announcing a new project with his ex-girlfriend’s enemy – just hours after his split from Maura was revealed

‘But it’s going to be good and we’re having loads of fun doing it.’

Olivia, who found fame on Love Island two years before Maura entered as a bombshell in 2019, had shared her frustrations on Instagram saying she believed someone in the industry was trying to emulate her successes.

She wrote: ‘You can try to hire all the same people, regurgitate my stories as your own, study the playbook, follow the recipe blah blah but it will *never* taste the same. That’s all.’

Her outburst came as Maura appeared on last year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! two years after Olivia was forced to leave the series for medical reasons following 24 hours in the Australian jungle.

When asked about their reported feud by MailOnline earlier this year, Olivia insisted that she remains in her own lane when it comes to her career.

The ITV documentary maker said: ‘Without sounding arrogant, I don’t feel like I’m in competition with anyone. I am relentlessly insane, no one can outwork me. They can try but they won’t succeed.’

Pete and Olivia’s announcement, which confirmed their first radio show will be on March 2, came as the former Strictly star’s split from Maura was revealed.

MailOnline exclusively told of how Pete and Maura had separated following a series of rows, with the pair deciding to be friends instead of lovers.

Love Island: All Stars SPOILER: The islanders’ romantic dates descend into chaos as THREE couples face being dumped from the villa in shock Valentine’s Day twist

Love Island: All Stars is set to see the islanders’ romantic Valentine’s Day dates descend into chaos on Friday as three couples will face being dumped from the villa in a shock twist.

In celebration of the day of love, the ladies headed out for a spot of shopping while the boys went all out to prep separate date areas across the villa for a special dinner with their partners.

And while the girls are certainly wooed with romantic gestures including candles, fairy lights, blankets and flowers – as well as some very important questions – the loved-up dates are soon brought to an abrupt end when they receive an unwelcome text.

Signaling the night taking a huge turn, Harriett reads out a message which says: ‘Islanders, the public have been voting for their favourite couple, the three couples with the fewest votes are at risk from being dumped from the Island.’

The annoyed beauty then adds: ‘Well, that’s a way to spoil Valentine’s Day!’

As they take in the news, the islanders are soon hit with another message informing them of the three couples that have landed in the bottom three.

However, the Valentine’s Day shocks don’t end there as just as they are getting over that bombshell, yet another text arrives with further surprises.

The islanders are then told that who stays and who goes will be decided by the dumped Islanders, who are set to make a dramatic return to the villa.

As the stars reel over the huge bombshell, the three at risk couples try to comprehend that their fate is now completely out of their hands.

But which couples will feel the love from the dumped islanders? And who will have a Valentine’s Day they’d rather forget?

Meanwhile, Friday’s show will also see Love Island’s Olivia Attwood and Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard make a surprise cameo as the boys finally get their video calls from home.

After the girls were able to connect with their friends and family on Wednesday, the boys will finally hear from their own.

When the girls are sent away on a day trip out of the villa, Curtis Pritchard gets a text revealing the good news.

He reads aloud: ‘Boys, whilst the girls are out you’ll get the tea with video calls from home! #WhileTheGirlsAreAwayTheBoysPressPlay’.

He asks him: ‘So you think we’re good?’, to which AJ replies: ‘100% it’s really nice to see you actually grow as a couple.’

Curtis adds: ‘I wanted to ask her to be my girlfriend but I don’t know if it’s the right place to do it…’

Meanwhile, Ronnie Vint is surprised to see his pals Olivia and her husband Bradley Dack as they reveal that they have never seen him act this way before.
