Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are no strangers to finding famous godparents for their children, and now their newest godparents has been revealed.
The 47-year-old Deadpool & Wolverine star and the 36-year-old It Ends With Us actress famously enlisted their good friend Taylor Swift to serve as the godmother to their four young children: daughters James, nine; Inez, seven; Betty, four; and Olin, one.
It’s still unclear exactly when Olin —whose name and sex were only confirmed late last month — was born, as Ryan and Blake have carefully doled out details.
Around the same time, Taylor Swift confirmed that she was the godmother to the littlest child of the acting couple.
Now the godfather to Olin has come forward himself, and he has a major connection to Ryan’s latest box office hit.

In an interview published Monday by Variety that focused on the making of Deadpool & Wolverine, the film’s director Shawn Levy admitted that he had accepted the responsibility of being Olin’s godfather.
Levy spilled the beans while enthusiastically speaking about how all four of Ryan and Blake’s children were given cameos as alternate universe versions of Deadpool.
‘Little by little, all of the Reynoldses started being a part of the movie, including their youngest,’ he explained. ‘As the proud godfather of Olin, that might be my favorite voice cameo.’
He didn’t expound further on being Olin’s godfather, and it’s unclear who serves as the godfather of James, Inez and Betty.
Olin ended up providing the vocals for a briefly glimpsed character known as Babypool.
Blake was also in on the fun with a cameo as Ladypool, a female version of Deadpool who appears to be Babypool’s mother, while Inez got in on the action by voicing Kidpool.
James was also involved as a screaming mutant character.
Betty was the only one of the four children who didn’t appear to have a cameo in the box office juggernaut, but she was credited at the end of the film as ‘Hugh Jackman wrangler.’
In April, Shawn admitted to People that he and Ryan had ‘become extremely close friends’ after working together repeatedly.

In fact, he now lives only ‘half a block’ away from Ryan and Blake.
Shawn — who, like Ryan, hails from Canada — has developed a significant after friendship they worked together on 2021’s Free Guy, followed by the Netflix science fiction film The Adam Project.
After the first Deadpool film was directed by Tim Miller and the second was helmed by David Leitch, Levy took over the franchise with Deadpool & Wolverine to work with his friend again.
Prior to that, he made a name for himself by directing popular comedies including Night At The Museum and Date Night, and he also previously collaborated with Deadpool & Wolverine star Hugh Jackman on 2011’s Real Steel.
