Oasis brought their blockbuster 41-date reunion tour to a close on Sunday night, taking a final bow in front of 60,000 roaring fans in São Paulo, Brazil.
Almost immediately, speculation has begun over what the brothers might do next.
It is thought conversations have already taken place behind the scenes, with ideas ranging from a new greatest hits album, to potential stadium dates at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium and a return to Knebworth.
Noel Gallagher previously assembled a compilation featuring post-2000 Oasis classics and B-sides, but the project was shelved after Liam rejected the idea.
In 2023, Noel reflected in an interview: ‘He wouldn’t have it in the end, I don’t know why.’
According to reports, reviving that album is now one of several proposals being explored following the band’s hugely successful comeback.

One insider said the tour had exceeded expectations and that the brothers planned to take time off to ‘absorb’ the scale of what they had achieved.
Speaking to The Sun, the source said: ‘Noel and Liam will both be taking a long break to compute the magnitude of this tour.
‘Being back together on stage has been incredible for both of them, and to have guitarist Bonehead back with them for the last shows has been nothing short of phenomenal’.
They added: ‘They’re aware of what their fans want and know the demand would be there if they did decide to put out a new greatest hits album, or to play more shows.”
It is thought discussions about a possible Etihad residency for next summer have been circulating, alongside offers for major festivals, including Coachella and Benicàssim.
Despite no concrete plans agreed, there’s no denying that there is still appetite for more Oasis and given how quickly – and successful – the surprise reunion came together, suggests there is nothing off the table.
Liam Gallagher has also hinted that he is keen to keep the momentum going, when he replied to a fan last week who stated: ‘How am i meant to survive if there won’t be another tour next year WE NEED MORE’.
Writing on X, Liam responded: ‘You will see me next year and the year after and so on just not sure yet if it’ll be with oasis, we need to sit down and discuss these things.

‘If it was all up to me then you know we’d be touring till the day we die as it’s the best thing in the world but UNFORTUNATELY it’s not’.
The Daily Mail has contacted Oasis’ representatives for comment.
The news for the the 2026 plans comes after the band briefly halted their show in Brazil on Saturday to pay an emotional tribute to The Stone Roses star Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield.
The bassist tragically died on Thursday aged 63.
During their performance of the song Live Forever, a photo of Gary filled the entire screen behind the stage.
Frontman Liam could be seen looking back at the photo and then applauding as the song came to an end, and the image remained up until the band began Rock ‘N’ Roll Star.
Oasis were both close with Gary, and the musician’s last public appearance had been alongside Liam, when they both attended boxer Ricky Hatton’s funeral on October 10.
Gary is understood to have died at his home in Heaton Moor Stockport after collapsing following a seizure. Family sources say that an ambulance was called but he couldn’t be revived.
