The Kyle and Jackie O Show producer Cooper Johns was reprimanded on Thursday by co-hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson after they accused the ex-NRL star of ‘doing nothing’ at work.
Kyle, 53, noticed the former Manly Sea Eagles player, 24, sitting quietly at his desk and told him off, ordering him to ‘do something for once’.
However, Cooper was not sure what task Kyle wanted him to perform and asked, ‘Sorry, what do you want me to do?’
This prompted a sarcastic response from Jackie who sniped back ‘He’s out there doing nothing, not even listening to the show. And we pay him more than the other [producers].’
‘Everyone’s lined up, they are all answering phones! And there’s Cooper on the end with his coffee sitting in the office chair, just watching us,’ she added.

In a clip shared to Instagram, Johns was then seen making Jackie a coffee in the KIIS FM breakroom as he attempted to get back in her good graces.
Fortunately Cooper managed to win Jackie over, as he was seen approaching her desk and handing her a coffee.
The former NRL player, who is the son of Rugby League legend Matthew ‘Matty’ Johns, joined The Kyle and Jackie O Show in January after retiring from the game last year.

In January, Matty sent Kyle a warning after his son announced his retirement from the NRL to pursue a career in radio with KIIS FM.
He was not re-signed by the Manly Sea Eagles at the end of the 2023 season.
As the Kyle and Jackie O Show returned to air in January, Jackie asked Kyle why Cooper had his own desk in their studio.

‘We’re not sure what he does yet but we’ve just secured his services,’ replied Kyle.
‘The reason why we got Coops is because I thought he’s very, very good. We were paranoid and thought “we’ve got to secure this guy”.’
Kyle then revealed the conversation he had with Cooper’s ex-NRL star father Matty.
‘His father was on the phone saying “don’t let my son get screwed. You really want him to quit footy? It’s got to be worth his while”,’ Kyle said.
