Kent ‘Smallzy’ Small has recounted a harrowing ordeal that saw a gang of armed burglars attempt to break into his Sydney home.
The Nova radio star made the admission on his Smallzy’s Surgery show on Wednesday night while discussing recent reports of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s LA home being burglarised.
‘There is an absolute blight of people breaking into houses,’ Smallzy said on air and in a clip shared to his Instagram.
‘I didn’t share this on the show last night, but someone tried to break into my house, overnight, yesterday.’
He revealed that the would-be thieves were caught on his security camera.
‘Thank God for the ring camera, we got them, but it’s very scary,’ he said.

Smallzy continued: ‘They were wearing balaclavas and they had these huge 10-inch hunting knives. Scary as s**t, let me tell you.
‘I can’t imagine how it feels if someone breaks into your house, being like violated.’
The clip also included the door-cam footage that showed balaclava-clad figures brandishing knives as they circled a car that was parked in a garage of the Hunters Hill home.
Referring to the attempted intruders as ‘scumbags’, Smallzy took a not-so-subtle dig at the thieves’ choice of getaway footwear.
‘Check this out,’ he said. ‘This is what dips**ts burglars are these days.
‘Not only did they have a stupid 10-inch knife, they were wearing Adidas slides.’
Speaking to News Corp, Smallzy revealed both he and his partner Zach La Cava were both at home when the incident occurred at around 2.30am.
He said that he noticed something ‘unusual’ when he woke to find his front gate open.

‘I saw a neighbour post that they had an intruder try and get into their house overnight,’ Smallzy said.
‘Piecing two and two together, I quickly checked my security camera footage and to my shock, spotted them.’
He said that while the break-in attempt was unsuccessful, he felt ‘violated’ nonetheless.
‘It’s so violating to know someone tried to break into your house while you were sleeping,’ he said.
‘I hope by sharing this it reminds people to be vigilant and helps catch the scum that do this to people.”
The Nova host purchased the five-bedroom Hunters Hill home back in June 2020 for $3.7million.
It comes after Kyle Sandilands’ $13 million Vaucluse mansion was surrounded by police in October last year.
Speaking about the ordeal on air, the radio star revealed that more than 30 officers with sniffer dogs descended on his street following reports a trio of thieves had broken into a number of properties in the area.

‘So I get woken up by my security guy at about 2.30am with intruder alerts on the perimeter of the home,’ the 53-year-old shock jock said.
When he asked what all the fuss was about, he was informed by security that it was the police who had tripped Kyle’s alarm, not intruders.
‘I said: “What’s the go here? Someone’s on the property?” They were the police,’ he continued.
‘Apparently a lot of people in my street last night were getting robbed.’
He went on to explain that police asked Kyle to enter his
property with dogs so they could continue their search for the alleged burglars.
‘The guys are on the run.’ he said. ‘There’s about 30 cops in my street it’s pandemonium.’
