Noel Gallagher lost his cool during an Oasis gig in London after being booed by sections of the crowd for giving a shoutout to his hometown.
The rocker, 58, was mid-set with an acoustic guitar slung over his shoulder when he asked the audience: ‘Any Mancunians we got in the house?’
Most of the crowd erupted into cheers, but a few punters near the front made their feelings known with a chorus of boos, which didn’t go unnoticed.
Wearing a black T-shirt and denim jeans, the Britpop icon made it clear he wasn’t in the mood to let the moment slide.
Staring down the fans, Noel fired back: ‘What you f****g booing for? You’re only here because of Mancunians.
‘You’re only here because of Manchester aren’t you? You want to be us? What you booing for?’

The outburst came before he launched into his next track, which he dedicated to ‘all Mancunians’ while turning his back on the audience and strumming the opening chords.
It’s been almost a month since Noel and brother Liam performed together for the first time in 16 years following an epic falling out backstage in Paris which caused Oasis to split.
And while it’s been feared that a major bust-up between the once warring brothers could put a halt to the live shows, their last few gigs have showed that the pair are still on track for the time being.
On Wednesday night, Liam made a sweet onstage gesture to Noel as the band took to the stage at London’s Wembley stadium.
As they continued their Oasis ’25 tour at during their thirds show at Wembley, Liam, 52, left fans in awe as he dedicated a song to his older brother.
Ahead of belting out his next track, Liam told the crowd: ‘Now I’ve gotta dedicate this next tune to our kid – Stand By Me’, reports The Sun.

The surprisingly touching moment comes after fears for the tour’s future after it was revealed that Liam had been spending more time with his dog than Noel on the reunion tour.
On July 4 when the tour kicked off and Cardiff’s Principality Stadium witnessed the sight of Liam with his arm around Noel after 16 years, it seemed the brothers had achieved their aim to convincing fans the guns had fallen silent.
Team Oasis has gone to enormous lengths to maintain an image of warm, fraternal harmony throughout the 41-gig tour by maintaining the ‘magic’ that Noel and Liam have put their past grievances behind them.
The Daily Mail revealed that backstage staff including security at every venue are forced to put stickers over their camera phones to prevent filming the brothers’ relationship when they are not public-facing.
