Noel Gallagher Admits ‘Love’ for Woman Resembling Dinner Lady as Ex-Wife Hints at Reunion

Noel Gallagher has confessed his ‘love’ for a woman he said ‘reminds him of a dinner lady’ that’s captured Oasis’ success over the years.

The singer, 58, who reunited with his brother Liam, 52, for their first tour in 16 years earlier this year, made the confession in a new interview.

He made the comments as he officially endorsed a new book on the band called Oasis: Trying to Find A Way Out of Nowhere.

It contains never before seen pictures of Noel and Liam over the years, captured by photographer Jill Furmanovsky and edited by Noel.

He compared the 72-year-old to his own mother Peggy, telling: ‘We loved Jill from the moment she rolled up at the Corn Exchange in Cambridge in 1994.

‘I met her on a stairwell backstage. She kind of reminded me of a dinner lady – and that’s not an insult. It’s a compliment because my mother was a dinner lady.’

He continued to The Mirror: ‘During the gig, I’m kinda rocking out and there in the pit is the dinner lady with a professional camera.

‘At the time she was working on a book of her photography called The Moment and I saw an early draft of it. The first photo in it was a picture of Paul McCartney outside his house taken by Jill as a schoolgirl.

‘She was looking to end the book with a contemporary band that was on its way up. We were just blowing up at that point, so we were perfect.

‘After that initial shoot she appeared at everything we did. To us, and again this is not an insult at all, she looked like all our mums. She’s kind of the same size as my mum.’

Meanwhile Noel’s ex-wife, Meg Mathews, dropped a cryptic Instagram post which fans believe hints that she and the Oasis guitarist have got back together after 24 years in a cryptic Instagram.

Meg, 59, shared the Daily Mail’s Katie Hind revelation in July that she was Noel’s rock once again following his £20million divorce from his second wife, Sara MacDonald, and helping him navigate the Oasis reunion with Liam.

The mother of Noel’s only daughter Anais, 25, took a picture of the newspaper article and shared it to her Instagram with the caption ‘Part 2’ echoing the headline, ‘Gallagher reunion: Part 2’.

The post came just hours before Noel stepped out of Chiltern Firehouse with his rumored girlfriend, Sally Fielding, after he was partying with Madonna until 4am.

Their Las Vegas wedding in 1997, complete with an Elvis impersonator, ended in divorce less than four years later – an acrimonious split, which has been described as one of the nastiest in recent celebrity history.

There were claims that Noel had cheated, and Meg – who had given birth to their daughter, Anais, just eight months before – was reportedly left suffering from post-traumatic stress, such was the extent of the fallout.

Oasis’ reunion tour has been continuing in America, with the duo performing in Pasadena, California this week.

The Gallagher brothers sold out two nights at the Rose Bowl last week.

Noel has reportedly been inspired during the Oasis tour and has written a number of new songs for a potential Oasis album.

Noel, who also fronts High Flying Birds, is reportedly debating whether to keep the tracks for a solo album or join forces with Liam again to released a new Oasis album.

An insider has told The Mirror: ‘Noel has been inspired by playing to adoring crowds, who have supercharged his creativity. But he is undecided whether his work will become a new album for Oasis with Liam on vocals.’
