Noah Kahan is set to bring his non-profit mental health foundation, The Busyhead Project to the UK for his sold out arena tour after having huge success in the States.

The American country singer launched the foundation in the US back in May 2023 and has raised over $2.5million in conjunction with his huge nationwide tour.

Noah has never shied away from discussing difficult topics including, alcoholism, addiction, depression, anxiety and his own mental health.

The Grammy nominated musician said he is proud and excited to introduce his mental health foundation in the UK.

The Busyhead Project provides resources to those organisations dedicated to meeting the needs of marginalised communities with both crisis care and tools for sustainable resilience.

Noah said he hopes the foundation can help people ‘get through their struggles’ as he aims to ‘give back to the community’ supporting him.

He said: ‘I’ve been given so many wonderful opportunities in my career and it really is all for nothing if I don’t try and give back to the community that has supported me.

‘If I can help anyone get through their struggles, it will be the proudest achievement of my career’.

It comes as Noah is set to take to the stage at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle for his sold out gig on Wednesday night.

The Stick Season singer will then head to Belfast, Birmingham and London to perform a number of sold out shows.

During each date of the colossal tour, Kahan will provide a space for fans to connect with local mental health organizations at The Busyhead Project Action Village.

Back in May, which is mental health awareness month, Noah shed light on his own experiences.

He said: ‘While mental health challenges are a year round challenge for so many, it is undoubtedly a good thing that we shed extra light on the mental health crisis for the month of May.

‘I sometimes struggle with reconciling my passion and efforts to be someone that advocates for mental health with how s***y I feel most of the time. I am not always capable of practicing what I preach.

‘I try to live in two places, and hope that someday I can situate myself between them. Some days I hole myself in my room and binge eat or don’t eat and stare at my phone until there is nothing else but the light of the screen and how awful I feel. Somedays I play a show in a sold out arena and talk about how therapy saved my life. Both of these days might happen over the span of any week.

‘I do not share this for sympathy or to be seen as vulnerable or brave. I share this because I want people to know, in this month especially, to remember it’s okay living in two places. It’s okay to be in a place of hurting, it’s okay to be depressed, anxious, bipolar, obsessive, or just plain exhausted.’

He continued: ‘We must all remember to try and strive for the other place. The place of healing, forgiveness, awareness. In this place we open up to people about how we’re feeling, and we check in on how our friends are feeling too.’
