Nip/Tuck Star Dylan Walsh Found with Open White Claws in SUV After NJ Accident

Nip/Tuck star Dylan Walsh had open containers of booze in his Ford Explorer before careening into a utility pole in Rumson, New Jersey earlier this month, according to authorities.

The Los Angeles-born actor, 61, admitted to police officers at the scene August 17 that he was on his way back from a bar where he had consumed alcohol, according to a report issued by Rumson Police and reviewed by TMZ.

Police subsequently found a cooler bag packed with cans of White Claw Hard Seltzer beverages, some opened, according to the report.

Police reported an eyewitness telling them that Walsh’s spouse could be heard yelling, ‘Get the bag out of the back seat,’ prior to them showing up on the scene.

Police said that Walsh said he had been returning from an outing at the beach in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, which is about seven miles to the north.

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Walsh, as well as the Rumson Borough Police Department, for further comment on the story.

Walsh told responding officers that he had been drinking at the Mule Barn Tavern prior to the accident, according to the report.

Walsh’s appearance at the scene was described by police as ‘very red’ and ‘very confused.’

He was driving a vehicle containing his spouse, two children and another passenger at the time of the accident, the report stated.

Walsh last week was at home recovering from the accident, according to his rep, who said in a statement August 20, ‘Everyone is safe and has since returned home.’

The actor and his family were ‘deeply grateful for the swift response of the Rumson Police, Fire Department, and EMS, as well as the staff at Riverview Medical Center for their care,’ the rep said.

Walsh’s family ‘would also like to extend a special thank-you to the management and staff of The River Point Inn for their support in the immediate aftermath.’
