Nicole Kidman’s views on marriage have been revealed in a resurfaced interview.
The Australian actress heartbreakingly expressed how she believed that marriage was for life in the new documentary, Nicole Kidman: Outback to Oscars, which is streaming on Tubi.
The footage, shot in 1992 when Kidman was promoting her film, Far And Away, which co-starred her then-husband Tom Cruise, shows New Zealand journalist Paul Holmes ask Kidman about her relationship.
‘You’ve talked about the marriage as the only marriage you’re ever going to have. How do you know that?’ Holmes asked.
Kidman replied: ‘I think if you make that commitment and you say that’s what it’s going to be, and you don’t shy away from making that, then I think that it’s possible.’
Elsewhere in the documentary, which tracks the star’s success from the early days of her career, Kidman said she was lonely in life despite winning the Best Actress Oscar in 2003 for The Hours.
