Nicole Kidman has revealed what always draws her back to Australia despite the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

The Hollywood star, 56, was born in the American state of Hawaii to Australian parents and was raised in Sydney, before finding global fame as an actress.

She has travelled far and wide over the course of her 40-year career and has a lavish global property portfolio but has shared what always brings her back to Australia.

In a resurfaced interview, Nicole admitted she longed to travel the world as a teenager before realising how much she wanted to be back Down Under.

‘It’s the trees, it’s the humour – I mean there’s so much about Australia that’s so unique.

‘It’s also this distance from the rest of the world which, when you’re a teenager you go, “I want to see Europe, I want to see America, I want to get out there, I want to see it”.

‘Well now I’m saying, “I’ve seen it, I want to go home”. There’s just everything here that you need.’

Nicole and her husband Keith Urban have luxury properties in the likes of Sydney, Nashville and New York as they have set up a global empire.
