Nicole Kidman Celebrates Poignant Anniversary in Glamorous Post After Keith Urban Split

Nicole Kidman marked a special anniversary in a glamorous Instagram snap on Thursday – just weeks after her shock split from Keith Urban.

The 58-year-old Oscar winner – who recently turned heads in a sexy look earlier this week – celebrated the 30th anniversary of Gus Van Sant’s movie To Die For which she had taken a leading role in alongside Joaquin Phoenix and Matt Dillon.

The satirical black comedy hit theaters in October 1995 and garnered critical acclaim, with Kidman winning a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical.

The star uploaded a photo as she modeled a black shirt with an image on the front of herself in the movie.

Her blonde locks were parted to the side and effortlessly flowed down straight past her shoulders.

A gold shadow was added around her eyes while a nude-colored tint was worn on her lips to complete the stylish ensemble.

Back in 2016, both Kidman and Affleck sat down for Variety’s Actors on Actors interview where they also talked about the movie.

‘No one thought I could do it and I think the studio didn’t want me, and I think it went through a bunch of other actors,’ the actress recalled.

‘I called Gus and I said, “Please, give me the chance, I beg you,” because the writing was so strong.’

Buck Henry wrote the screenplay for the film which was based on the 1992 novel of the same name written by Joyce Maynard.

Affleck also jumped in to share his thoughts on being on set and explained, ‘That was really fun and I was kind of spoiled because I thought that’s what all movies would be like…

‘Working with you and Gus and Joaquin [Phoenix] and obviously they’re not all that great.’

He then told Kidman, ‘But you put us at ease, ’cause it could have been such an intimidating environment for a 17-year-old kid who has never been on a movie set, really.’

The Babygirl actress has been moving on since news of her split from estranged husband Keith Urban came to light late last month in September.

The former couple tied the knot in 2006 and also share two children: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

One day after the news of their separation broke, Kidman officially filed for divorce and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

According to the filing, the Moulin Rouge actress requested to be designated as the primary residential parent.

Sources also told the Daily Mail that Urban has reportedly moved on with an unnamed female musician.

Speculation had arisen that he could possibly be linked to 25-year-old country star Maggie Baugh as well as singer Kelsea Ballerini, 32.

Kidman was reportedly left ‘blindsided’ by the separation.

A source stated, ‘Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour. There was a lot of love between the two and they might not divorce, but there is a world that they both live where neither of them are in it.

‘Keith and Nicole have been together for decades and there is a world which they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, it is not a couple.’

Urban is said to be in ‘hiding’ amid his divorce from the actress following 19 years of marriage.

‘Things are just too awkward right now and Keith just doesn’t have the confidence to face all the press,’ a source claimed to Woman’s Day

‘Part of him is embarrassed to show his face on a red carpet until things settle down with his divorce.’

The country singer has been focused on his current High And Alive World Tour, with the insider adding, ‘The last thing he needs is to overshadow his new show with all his personal issues.’

But it was announced on Thursday that Urban abruptly cancelled a concert in South Carolina due to coming down with laryngitis.

‘He has been placed on complete vocal rest and Dr. Garrett is optimistic that he will be back onstage for his Nashville show,’ per a statement.

The performer had been slated to take to the stage on Thursday at Bon Secours Wellness Arena but his Friday concert on October 17 in Nashville is still scheduled.
