Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were brutally trolled over their bizarre Met Gala 2025 Met Gala looks on Monday.
Jonas, 32, and Chopra, 42, hit the red carpet in coordinated black and white looks, with the boyband singer decked out in Bianca Saunders and his wife in Balmain, paired with a wide brimmed hat.
However, fans noticed that Chopra’s look was near-identical to Bette Midler’s polka dot ensemble in iconic 1988 film Big Business, with the quirky ensemble even likened to Cruella de Vil and cartoon character Carmen Sandiego.
Meanwhile, Jonas was not immune to criticism either as his outfit – consisting of a cream colored turtleneck and scarf with black pants – saw him likened to a ‘preppy bull rider.’
One fan wrote: ‘So Nick Jonas went as a preppy bull rider? Then Priyanka Chopra went as Bette Midler in Big Business.’
Even Harper’s Bazaar threw some subtle shade at the couple, tweeting, ‘Nick Jonas found shade under Priyanka Chopra’s massive hat at the 2025 Met Gala.’

The 2025 Met Gala theme was Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, inspired by the 2009 Monica Miller book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity and coinciding with the Met’s upcoming exhibit on Black fashion.
Jonas recently made a return to Broadway in The Last Five Years, where he stars alongside Adrienne Warren.

The play follows the five-year relationship between Jamie Wellerstein (Jonas), a rising novelist, and Cathy Hiatt (Warren), a struggling actress.
The play was written by Jason Robert Brown and was adapted into a film in 2014 starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.
Chopra will next be seen in the summer action film Heads Of State alongside John Cena and Idris Elba, debuting on Prime Video July 2.
