Nick Jonas took to Instagram on Thursday, New Year’s Day, to promote his new song Gut Punch.
The 33-year-old music artist — who is married to Priyanka Chopra, 43 — began a video clip by declaring, ‘2026 is here, guys. Wow, what a year 2025 was. One of my favorite years of my life, to be honest.’
He continued, ‘Today I am feeling all of the start-of-the-year feelings: reflective, definitely a little anxiety but I’m just gonna kind of curb that for a minute and just say that I wanted to put Gut Punch out on this day specifically for all those feelings.’
Interacting with his 35.4 million followers in the snippet, he said that he wanted to release his new music for those ‘who might be feeling the same way.’
The star then reflected, ‘There’s a lot of pressure to be the perfect version of yourself at the start of the year and that’s just not possible and that’s ok.’
‘I’m going to go in the other room and hug my loved ones and just try to take a minute to just be grateful for the simple things. The quiet moments with people you love,’ said the father-of-one.
