Jack Whitehall is the new face of England’s Marks and Spencer campaign.
The comedian, 36, has teamed up with the supermarket to teach the Lions and Lionesses what he knows about nutrition in a series of comical videos.
To try and inspire the nation who will be watching England play this summer, a documentary crew followed Jack starting his new role as a “Health and Nutrition Consultant” for the men’s and women’s football teams.
Entering the dressing room Jack, speaks with Lionesses Mary Earps, 32, Alessia Russo, 26, and Ella Toone, 25.
From the men’s team there’s Declan Rice, 26, Jordan Pickford, 31, and Ollie Watkins, 29.
Traveling to England’s training camp at St George’s Park, Jack spends the day educating the team about diet.
‘It’s all about putting the right fuel in the tank,’ Jack says.
‘I have a lot of methods I can use that I have picked up from around the world.

‘It’s all part of the greater game, inspiring the nation to get fitter.’
The video also sees Mary Earps taking bites out of a whole lettuce head and Pickford throwing it around.
Another clip hilariously shows Jack attempting to sit in an ice bath which Chloe Kelly, 27, and Beth Mead, 29.
‘Helps ease all of those little aches and pains,’ he says.
Chloe says: ‘Team initiation, you’re the newbie, you’re the one that goes in.
‘Coach, player, anyone new.’
‘Are you scared?’ Beth Mead asks him.
‘No dilly dallying.’

In a different scene Jack is meditating and practicing a sound bath with Connor Gallagher, 25, Noni Madueke, 23, and Marc Guehi, 24.
Chloe Kelly goes on to jokingly say: ‘When it comes to his techniques, I’d probably stick to the day job.’
The end of the video sees Jack getting ‘fired from his job’ at St George’s Park.
‘Better nutrition means better performance on the pitch,’ he says.
The campaign is the latest between Marks & Spencer and the England team.
They teamed up in 2022 when Gareth Southgate launched the teams Eat Well, Play Well healthy diet campaign.
Since, the retailer has also dressed the team for their official team photographs, as well as being a sponsor for their England kits.
The new campaign comes as part of The Greater Game initiative, a partnership between M&S Food and The FA, aiming to inspire football fans, young players and families to think about their health and nutrition to eat well and perform at their best.
While Jack’s unconventional approach might not make it into the official FA’s official nutrition handbook, the message is clear—good food choices are key to better performance on the pitch and better health off it.
