New cast members have been confirmed for the Harlan Coben’s Netflix series Missing You, which is set to drop on the streaming platform in January 2025.
Ashley Walters, James Nesbitt and Matt Jay-Willis have been announced a the latest additions to Netflix’s adaptation of Coben’s thrilling novel.
They will join the likes of Rosalind Eleazar, Jessica Plummer, Richard Armitage, Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, and Mary Malone in the series.
One of two upcoming adaptations from Harlan Coben novels – following the success of his latest Netflix series Fool Me Once which starred Michelle Keegan – Missing You will be shown across five episodes.
The five-episode series centres on Detective Kat Donovan (Eleazar) whose fiancé Josh (Walters) disappeared 11 years ago, and she’s never heard from him since.

A synopsis of the show reads: ‘Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again’.
‘Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.’
Missing You will relocate the story from the United States to the U.K., with filming now underway in Manchester and in other locations across north-west England.
Earlier in the year, the streamer had said that it would make limited series based on the author’s novels Missing You and Run Away, produced by Quay Street Productions.
Coben serves as executive producer on the projects through his company Final Twist Productions.

The announcement of the new cast members for Missing You comes after Fool Me Once amassed 61million views globally in the first two weeks of its New Year’s Day release, reaching the Top 10 in 91 countries worldwide.

After finally bringing her home, it becomes clear she’s not alone, and an argument escalates into shocking violence that will shatter Simon’s life all over again as he’s forced into the criminal underworld to once again search for his daughter.
Harlan, 62, has published over 35 books since his debut, Play Dead – a romance suspense thriller – which was released in 1990.
The author is married to Anne Armstrong-Coben, who is a paediatrician, and they have four children together.
