Paramount came aboard the project in late February, setting an August 8, 2025 release date.
As of now, it will be going up against director Paul Thomas Anderson’s untitled film that is currently in production with Leonardo DiCaprio and Sean Penn.
Bryan Bertino will direct Vicious from his own original screenplay with Richard Suckle (Wonder Woman) producing and Melinda Whitaker executive producing.
Bertino is best known for writing and directing the 2008 horror film The Strangers, along with 2014’s Mockingbird, 2016’s The Monster and 2020’s The Dark and the Wicked.
It isn’t known if the film will be going into production any time soon, though it seems likely with casting ramping up.
