It’s the Kate Winslet hit that became one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time.
And now Netflix Australia has informed subscribers that The Holiday is set to leave the streaming giant before December.
The news will no doubt break the hearts of Aussie fans ,who watch the 2006 rom-com every year as part of their festive season tradition.
The last chance fans will get to see the box office hit on Netflix will be October 31, just less than two months before Christmas Day.
The fan favourite film centres on two unlucky-in-love women, one American (Cameron Diaz) and one Brit (Kate Winslet), who ‘swap’ their homes over the Christmas break after coming into personal difficulties.
Kate Winslet’s beloved character, a British journalist called Iris, flies to Los Angeles for a homestay in the luxury apartment of Amanda (Cameron).
During her whirlwind trip, Iris quickly forms an unlikely romance with Hollywood composer Miles, played by funnyman Jack Black.
Meanwhile, American filmmaker Amanda moves into Iris’ remote cottage in the UK and falls for the Englishwoman’s brother, Graham, played by Jude Law.

While it wasn’t favourite with the critics, The Holiday was an overwhelming hit with movie goers on its first release, grossing over $200million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
On Rotten Tomatoes, the heartwarming film has also earned a ‘popcorn’ score of 80 per cent from a whopping 250,000 user reviews.
Meanwhile, on review aggregator Metacritic, The Holiday has a generous user rating of 7.1 out of 10.
Back in 2022, fans were devastated after Kate, 49, shut down claims a sequel was is in the works.
Fans went into a frenzy after it was reported stars Cameron, 52, Jude, 51, Kate and Jack, 55, were all on board for the sequel.
But Kate dampened fans hopes when she told People: ‘I read something about that, but it’s the first I’ve heard of it.
‘I promise you not an agent or a representative or anyone from the first one around has had any conversation with me about that. Hand on heart, that’s never come up.’

Writer and director Nancy Meyers also took to Instagram to debunk rumours of a sequel, writing: ‘So many DM’s about this – sorry but it’s not true.’
Though The Holiday won’t be available on Netflix Down Under, Kate is gearing up for a visit to Australia to promote her latest film, Lee.
The highly-anticipated war biopic sees Kate portray the remarkable model-turned-WWII-photographer Lee Miller.
She will be promoting the new release Down Under alongside producer Kate Solomon and Anthony Penrose, the son of the real-life legendary American war correspondent.

Their presence is expected to add a personal and poignant touch to the promotional tour, as the film is based on Antony Penrose’s 1985 biography, The Lives of Lee Miller.
Kate’s visit to Australia is expected to include a series of promotional events and press conferences, and marks her first visit Down Under in almost a decade.
She was last in the country in 2014, while filming The Dressmaker alongside an all-star cast including Liam Hemsworth, Judy Davis and Hugo Weaving.
Lee debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival before premiering at the Sydney Film Festival in June. It hits Australian cinemas on October 24.
