German Netflix film 60 minutes has earned scores of fans with its emotional depiction of one man’s race across Berlin to make it in time for his daughter’s birthday party.
The name of the movie refers to the tight deadline that protagonist, MMA fighter Octavio – played by German actor Emilio Sakraya – has to meet to ensure that he gets to see his daughter.
Set in Germany, Octavio runs a gym and a very important fight happens to coincide with the same day as his seven-year-old daughter’s birthday.
Panicked, he commits his presence to his daughter, but his ex-girlfriend and mother of his daughter issues a final warning to him – if he doesn’t turn up to her party, she will file for sole custody.
The film chronicles Octavio’s heart wrenching struggle to get to his beloved daughter’s birthday party on time.
