They were referring to AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders – which follows the group from auditions to training camp and the NFL season as they chase their dreams and a coveted spot on the squad.
Other viewers were quick to express their shock at how low some of the cheerleaders’ salaries were.
That came following a clip where one former team cheerleader, Kat, said that she made approximately the same about of money as a full-time Chick-fil-A worker.
According to Cosmopolitan, this rate is equivalent to around £30,000 a year ($38,266).
While that might not seem like a small salary, it dwarfs in comparison to that of an NFL player – with the average being around £2.2 million ($2.8 million) while the minimum salary is £556,000 ($705,000).
Furthermore, Dallas Cowboys owner and Chief Brand Officer Charlotte Jones seems to be acutely aware of this but still appears unperturbed.
Upset reaction from fans demonstrated how surprised they were to learn of the salary rate for the role, as they continued:
‘I hope the end result is the women getting paid properly. And I hope they are getting paid for this doc.’

‘There is NO good reason the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders shouldn’t get paid a full-time livable salary. Honestly shocked some of these women have full time jobs on top of doing all of this’.
‘LADIES, YOU’RE BEING EXPLOITED FOR PROFIT AND THEY’RE SELLING IT AS A PRIVILEGE FOR YOU TO BE A PART OF THE TEAM’.
‘The multi-millionaire daughter of a billionaire with an NFL franchise explaining Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders don’t get paid well, but they don’t do it for the money is unhinged.
‘Charlotte Jones is smiling as she explains her organization’s labor exploitation of young women.’
