Scarlett Thomas has shown off her incredible singing voice on Wednesday after she controversially skipped her GCSCEs to pursue a career in music.
The singer and actress, 17, took to TikTok to share a video of herself singing a rendition of Reneé Rapp’s I Think I Like You Better When You’re Gone.
The impressive cover has already racked up almost 200,000 views as she sat in her bedroom wearing a grey button up jumper and matching jogging bottoms.Â
Scarlett is the daughter of Coronation Street legends Tina O’Brien, 42, and Ryan Thomas, 41.
And her uncles are Waterloo Road actor Adam Thomas, 37, and Love Island’s Scott Thomas, 37.

Scarlett recently broke down in tears as her father surprised her with her own recording studio for her 17th birthday last month.
The former Coronation Street star said he wanted to do something ‘special’ for the aspiring singer and so created her very own spot to write music.
Ryan shared a video of the moment he gifted Scarlett her dream present and a Drake album on Instagram alongside a sweet caption.
He captioned the post: ‘I wanted to do something special for Scarlett’s birthday this year her passion is singing and wanted her to have a place to switch off focus on what she loves.
‘So I converted a room in the basement into a home studio, it was all a big surprise the payoff seeing her face made it all worth it.’Â
Scarlett recently revealed she did not sit her GCSEs.
Reflecting on not receiving any results herself, she said: ‘Watching everyone get their GCSE results today wondering if I could’ve had good results but I will forever wonder.’

The rising star, 16, first appeared on TV screens back in 2023 in BBC drama Waterloo Road playing Izzy – the daughter of her real life uncle Adam ThomasÂ
She added in the caption with two red heart emojis: ‘Well done everyone you all should be beyond proud whatever results you got [sic].’
Fans of the teen actress were shocked to discover that she hadn’t sat her milestone GCSEs and many questioned why she chose not to get any qualifications.
Others, however, stressed that school exams do not define a person or their ability to succeed in life.
While most young people in England do sit GCSEs, they are not a legal requirement.
However, not having the qualifications can limit your options later on in terms of further education – such as college or university.
But Scarlett has made it clear she wants to follow her famous family into the entertainment world and as her career goes from strength to strength she is proving she may not need a traditional job.
It was recently claimed that Scarlett’s projected earnings may mean that it doesn’t matter that she skipped her GCSE exams after pursuing a career in acting.
