On the night, Guy Pearce was up for an Emmy for his role on Neighbours.
It came thanks to his brief but memorable guest starring turn as Mike Young on Neighbours last year.
The Australian actor was competing for the Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series, but missed out to Dick Van Dyke on Days of our Lives.
The show itself was also up for the Daytime Drama Series award – but unfortunately the cast and crew went home empty handed, with General Hospital taking the win.
