West recently launched true crime podcast Predatory in the hopes of bringing awareness to child abuse.
As a result of her advocacy on the podcast, she also made surprising new career move as she continues her pursuit for justice.
Taking to Instagram earlier this year, she filled her followers in on her new appointment.
‘Proud to announce my appointment to the Board of Advisors to Crime Stoppers International, specialising in stopping the exploitation of children,’ she began.
She said she hoped to help victims find the courage to speak out about the abuse they experienced and raise awareness about the serious issue.
‘Change is only possible with the evidence to back it up. I’m asking anyone who has experienced this horrific crime, been stalked, assaulted, groomed or bullied to share your story, anonymously,’ she added.

Many of West’s celebrity friends were quick to congratulate her on the courageous career move.
‘I am proud to know you,’ wrote comedian Janelle Koenig while Offspring star Kat Stewart posted some love heart emojis.
Back in January, West said she was sexually abused as a child by a ‘monster’ and as a result started a true crime podcast to raise awareness of the difficult issue.
The actress went public with her story after keeping it a secret for decades so she can help others who are suffering.
West is best known for her role on Neighbours
West has told how the alleged abuser lived in the same town as her and that the abuse was regular – sometimes even daily. She revealed no other details of the attack and has not named the alleged abuser.
She told The Sun of the alleged abuse: ‘This monster ruined my life. I’ve come out the other side, yes a survivor but happy to own the title of victim.
‘Justice can be achieved. It was never, and never will be, your fault, you are not to blame.’
She launched the Predatory podcast to shine the light on the issue of paedophilia alongside ex-detective Gary Jubelin.
The mother-of-six told fans her podcast will serve as a ‘checklist’ for parents on how to spot predatory behaviour towards children.
The star is also calling for a national public child sex register in Australia and will campaign for changes to laws to fairly compensate victims.
