The mysterious Banker returns with NBC announcing its renewal of the hit reality series Deal or No Deal Island.
The Banker will be inviting a new crop of players – alongside host Joe Manganiello – to return in the ‘fully immersive competition,’ via NBC press release.
Production is set to begin this summer, though it’s unclear when the second season may air on NBC.
The first season debuted in late February – a spin-off of the NBC series that debuted in 2005 with host Howie Mandel, based on a Dutch series created by Jon de Mol.
Mandel returns to executive produce the series alongside Manganiello, with the Season 1 finale airing Monday, May 13 at 10 PM ET on NBC.

‘A huge thanks to our crew and the biggest gamer of them all, host Joe Manganiello,’ Henson added.
‘Together we’re thrilled to be back with another season that will be sure to test the contestants and the Banker’s limits,’ Henson’s statement concluded.
‘It was incredible to see how audiences immediately took to the new format of Deal or No Deal Island, welcoming Joe Manganiello and the Banker’s guests into their homes and bringing new life to the iconic IP,” said Sharon Levy, Chief Executive Officer, Endemol Shine North America.
‘We’re thrilled that NBC has picked up a second cycle and eagerly anticipate seeing how the Banker will physically test and mentally challenge a new season of contestants as they compete for a transformative jackpot,’ Levy added.
The series is currently averaging 5.8 million viewers across all platforms, doubling its live audience on NBC.
The show has also reached 30 million total viewers across linear and digital platforms this season to date.
Deal of No Deal Island is currently the #1 NBC unscripted show on Peacock and has the most watched unscripted NBC premiere on Peacock.
The show follows players who must compete in various challenges in order to secure the iconic Deal or No Deal briefcases that have been hid all over a tropical island.

At the end of each episode, the player who has the briefcase with the highest value wins immunity and can send a player to The Temple.
The competitor sent to The Temple must play a, ‘high-intensity game of Deal or No Deal’ with the Banker.
If the competitor makes a deal that is ultimately worth less than what’s in their briefcase, they’re eliminated, but if their deal is worth more than the briefcase, they can select another player to be eliminated.
The winnings from each episode are added to a group pot that the last player standing could win in a final showdown with The Banker.
