John Krasinski and Natalie Portman are set to star in the forthcoming Guy Ritchie adventure film Fountain of Youth.
Apple Original Films has signed on to do the film, which will be produced by Skydance Media in a collaboration with Project X Entertainment and Vinson Films, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The storyline of the motion picture, written by James Vanderbilt, centers around a pair of estranged siblings who work together on an international heist in an effort to find the Fountain of Youth.
The tandem must pool their collective historical knowledge and go where clues lead them in an effort to live forever.
A script that Vanderbilt submitted to Skydance ‘blew execs away,’ sources told Deadline Thursday, making it a ‘high priority’ for the studio, which plans to commence with production during 2024’s first quarter.

Skydance waited until it had the right combination of talent to proceed with the project, sources told the outlet, with the director and stars committing to the projects after the entertainment industry strikes finished last year.
Richie, 55, has directed fan favorite films such as 2000’s Snatch; 1998’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and 2009’s Sherlock Holmes.
His most recent movie was last year’s war drama The Covenant, which starred Jake Gyllenhaal and Dar Salim.
Portman, 42, is a past Academy Award winner for her work in the 2010 film Black Swan, and has also been nominated for her performances in 2016’s Jackie and 2004’s Closer.
The actress, who has also appeared in the Star Wars films and Léon: The Professional, was most recently seen in the Netflix drama May December.
Krasinski, 44, has worn a number of hats in his career as an actor, writer and director.
He played the role of Jim Halpert on nine seasons of The Office, and wrote, starred in and directed the 2018 hit A Quiet Place and its 2020 sequel A Quiet Place II.
He appears in and directed the upcoming dramatic comedy IF alongside Ryan Reynolds.

Krasinski made headlines amid his recent appearance at the Golden Globe Awards alongside wife Emily Blunt, with fans speculating on the strength of their relationship after analyzing their behavior on the red carpet at Sunday’s proceedings in Beverly Hills, California.
While some fans speculated Krasinski told Blunt, ‘I can’t wait for a divorce,’ insiders close to the Hollywood pair insisted that there was nothing amiss with their marriage.
‘There are no issues with Emily and John,’ a source told Us Weekly. ‘They think the rumors are funny and ridiculous.’
