Speaking on her Life With Nat podcast she explained how Joanie had injured herself while cartwheel and branded the hospital trip ‘horrible’.
Saying: ‘We went into the hospital, she had her operation, she went under general anaesthetic which is horrible, it’s really really horrible to watch your child go under general anaesthetic and I felt rather stressed’.

‘Mark came with me in the morning but he was filming the Proms so he had to go off and I sat there in the hospital. It’s meant to be roughly about an hour until they give you a call to say go down and meet your daughter in recovery’.
She continued: ‘Hour, hour and a half, hour and 45 minutes, two hours, two and a quarter. I thought “What is going on?’, what’s happened?” then this lovely nurse called Carla, all the staff by the way in Harlow are so wonderful’.
‘Then she came over, Carla, she said, “Oh they have been quite a long time I’m going to ring down”. You think “For goodness sake if the nurse is worried, what’s going on?”‘.
‘So anyway it was about two and a half hours, I went down to see Joanie and they had to put two plates in [her] arm to hold the bones together because Joanie had broken two bones, so she’s got two little plates in her arm.
Finally adding: ‘They’ve had to make some incisions, little cuts, because her bones were too small, couldn’t get the wires through and we weren’t really sure if we were going to be going on holiday. The big news is we’re going on holiday.’
Natalie and Marc are parents to daughter Joanie, while the actress shares Eliza with with ex Adam Cottrel.
Alongside the snaps Natalie wrote: ‘We made it on our holiday. Greece has been beautiful, a full week of only worrying about what we are eating, getting the good sun beds and what ice creams we are eating next @elscass I think I’m converted’.
‘Apart from the old skin allergy always showing itself when abroad it’s been a corker. listen to my podcast Life With Nat out today to hear more’.

‘The waterproof cover for Joanie’s arm has been a life saver, thank you for all your lovely messages. Always look forward to coming home and seeing family and getting into my own bed though. ♥️ thank you @ikosresorts for a great time’.
Before teasing: ‘NOT AN AD. If bloody only’.
It comes follow reports that Natalie was set to take a ‘short break’ from EastEnders after landing a new job, hosting an upcoming Channel 4 series.
The Soap star who has played Sonia Fowler in the BBC show for 31 years, will be ditching her famed role for a short while to front a brand new project.
Natalie will reportedly be hosting a four-part series, named What’s The Big Deal, about popular trending consumer products.
A source told The Sun: ‘Natalie will be taking a short break, just like many of her co-stars do when they have another project.
‘Bosses always try to let stars spread their wings and if they can make it work with the often punish-ing soap schedule, then they’ll do it.
‘Natalie’s really excited to tackle the project for Channel 4. This is another string to her bow.’
Viewers will see Natalie chat to industry experts, scientists and families about teeth whiteners and ice baths.
She will get families to test the products and give their verdicts on the household items and see if they really are worth the price.
Natalie said: ‘I am looking forward to getting to ask questions we all want answers to, about must-have products.
‘Like all of us, I love to try the latest things but as a busy mum what I really want to know is what lives up to the claims and what is the best deal?’
