8 Mile actor Nashawn Breedlove has died suddenly aged 46.

Breedlove, whose character Lotto famously battle-rapped with Eminem in the iconic 2002 movie, died in his sleep on Sunday at his home in New Jersey, reports TMZ.

His cause of death is currently unknown.

In his scene in the film, Lotto takes on Eminem’s B-Rabbit, rapping: ‘I feel bad I gotta murder that dude from Leave it to Beaver’ with the crowd wowed – before he eventually loses the rap battle.

Rapper Mickey Factz posted a tribute to Instagram, writing: ‘RIP to one of the few emcee’s to beat Eminem… Lotto from 8 Mile. Who’s friends lovingly called him, OX. You will be missed for your tenacity and aggressiveness.’
