Two reality stars have shocked fans as they revealed their shock engagement on Saturday – less than two months after welcoming their latest child and being rocked by cheating claims.
The personalities first appeared on screen together in 2016, taking part in MTV’s Ex On The Beach where they were reunited.
In a sweet social media post, Helen Briggs revealed she’s set to wed long-term lover Chet Johnson after she popped the question to him.
Announcing the news on Saturday to her 700,000 Instagram followers, Helen said: ‘Today is our 10 year anniversary… & the beginning of something even more beautiful. In a couple of weeks we are saying “I do”. We can’t wait for this next chapter…’
In a video alongside the post, Helen and Chet were visibly beaming over their exciting next chapter as the hunk shared an insight into Helen’s casual proposal.
Chet said: ‘I was at the gym, and I get this phone call and she’s like “do you want to get married?” and I’m like “what do you mean do you want to get married”.’

Helen, 29, added: ‘If anyone knows me, I always said 10 years and I’ll decide if I want to get married or not.’
He added that the day before Helen gave birth to their youngest child Honey, she rang up the registry office and booked their nuptials.
The loved up couple have planned their scaled back and intimate wedding in just 10 weeks and will officially say ‘I do’ this month.
Fans flooded them with well-wishes, as one replied: ‘The whole way through this video the way Helen looks at at chet is just everything. You pair are just life.’
A second posted: ‘My people mannnn! Congrats I’m so happy for yous.’
‘This is keeping it as real as it comes! The common sense to marry for YOU… nobody else! It’s so refreshing to see a woman not want a huge fuss. It’s perfect y and I wish you many years of happiness together! I fore you guys,’ said a third.
In a candid admission, they said they ‘couldn’t justify’ dishing out £60,000 for a ‘fairytale’ wedding and will do their big day in their own style, with a small ceremony with close family and friends including a roast dinner, followed by a larger party that night.
Helen said her mindset towards marriage shifted when she started getting ‘the ick’ when it came to filling out documents and she had a separate name to her children and Chet.

However, the pair have hinted they’ll have a bigger do further down the line when their children are old enough to experience the day with them.
Chet said: ‘We want all our kids to be there, so I feel like this won’t be the end wedding. In 10 years we’re probably going to do it again.’
Helen added: ‘Probably a blessing, because I always said I wanted all my children to be at the wedding and my youngest one to be especially like three or five years old so they all know what’s happening.’
The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Ocean, on 11th November 2019 after Helen endured a 22-hour labour.
They then had son Elvis a year later, on 27th December 2020, while they then welcomed their third child together, daughter Peach, in December 2022.

She took to her Instagram stories to announce that she has broken up with Chet after eight years together.
In a statement confirming their split, Helen claimed that she had put up with ‘endless’ cheating allegations during their romance as she detailed why they had split.
She claimed she had seen ‘evidence’ that Chet cheated on her and described the alleged incident as the ‘final straw’.
However, the pair patched up their differences later that year, with Helen revealing on Instagram that allegations turned out to be untrue.
In an Instagram Q&A with fans, she shared: ‘Chet and I are back together. We went through hell and back this summer over an allegation which didn’t turn out to be true.
‘I jumped the gun and put a statement without even reading between the lines.
‘Chet always denied the allegation and later down the line cleared his name.’
