Taylor Swift has dominated the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards nominees list, scoring seven nods after the release of her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.
She is expected to be among the star-studded crowd when the ceremony takes place at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, England on Sunday, November 10.
The superstar singer, who already has 15 MTV EMAs to her name, is up for Best Artist, Best Video, Best Pop, Best Live and Biggest Fans. She is also up for Best Collaboration for her single Fortnight with Post Malone, which has also scored a nod in the Best Video category.
Yet she faces stiff competition on the night as Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli xcx and Sabrina Carpenter all scored five nominations each, appearing in categories such as Best Song, Best Video and Best Artist.
Closely following with four nominations each are Ayra Starr, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, LISA, plus first-time nominees Chappell Roan and Tyla.

There are 19 nominees have the chance to score their first ever MTV EMA at this year’s show, including: Kehlani and Tinashe in the Best R&B category, Disclosure and Fred Again.. for Best Electronic, Fontaines D.C. for Best Alternative, The Last Dinner Party for Best New and BTS’ Jimin for Best K-Pop, which marks his first nomination as a solo artist.
Elsewhere, MTV Push’s finest battle it out in the Best Push category, which features Flyana Boss, Laufey, Shaboozey, The Warning, Victoria Monét, as well as LE SSERAFIM and Teddy Swims, who are also up for Best New.
Superstars from around the world also dominate the Best Collaboration category, which sees nods for Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars; Future, Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar; LISA and Rosalía; Peso Pluma and Anitta; Charli xcx and Billie Eilish, plus Taylor Swift and Post Malone.
With the MTV EMAs headed to Manchester, there is even more anticipation in store for fans in the city, as Liam Gallagher goes head to head with Bon Jovi, Coldplay, Green Day, Kings of Leon, Lenny Kravitz and The Killers in the Best Rock category.
Now in its 30th year, this is the first time ever that the MTV EMAs will be staged in the city, and also marks its epic return to the UK.
Rita Ora is reportedly set to host when the ceremony returns to the UK, having hosted the 2017 awards at London’s Wembley Arena.
While the star recently went separate ways from her long term manager and head of First Access Entertainment Sarah Stennett, she is already looking forward to new projects.
A source told The Sun: ‘Rita couldn’t be more excited. She is spinning a lot of plates at the moment but her first love will always be music, which is why when she was asked to present the ceremony, she jumped at the chance.’

They continued: ‘Talks between MTV and Rita’s new management are ongoing and they’re just ironing out the finer details.
‘And it won’t be the first time Rita has taken on hosting duties after she presented at the prestigious night of music when it was last held in the UK for the 2017 ceremony at Wembley Arena.
This year will see the MTV EMAs return after they were cancelled last year in Paris due to security fears and ‘the state of the world’ amid the war between Israel and Hamas.
Fans from 23 regions around the world can vote online at www.mtvema.com until 00:00 CET on November 6. The winner of the Best Video category will be chosen by MTV.
The Biggest Fans winner will be voted for at a later date on social via @MTVEMA.
The 2024 MTV EMAs will broadcast at 9pm GMT Sunday, November 10 on MTV UK, Channel 5 and Pluto TV.
The awards, sponsored by Cetaphil for Sensitive Skin and Paramount+, will be available on demand on Paramount+ from November 12.
