Mrs Hinch has revealed she plans to keep her late father Alan’s ‘workshop dream’ alive, after his sudden death.
On Wednesday, the star, real name Sophie Hinchliffe, 34, shared a heartbreaking post announcing his ‘sudden but peaceful’ death and made a promise to her father.
Sophie moved fans to tears as she revealed she would ‘hold the key’ to the workshop she had created at her £1.1million Essex home, named Hinch Farm.
She wrote: ‘My loving Dad, Our boys beloved Grandad, Your workshop is locked up and I sleep with the key. I promise to keep your workshop dream going.
‘Until we meet and sing together again. Goodnight Dad My absolute king. Your Bubberloo.

When the family moved in 2021, Sophie surprised her father Alan with his own dedicated space and tools after he retired – something he had wanted ‘since he was a little boy’.
From bathroom mirrors for both of her boys to a display ladder and a bedside table, the mother kept fans updated on Instagram, often showing off her father’s new creations.
In one post from March 2022, she gushed that she was ‘so proud’ of her dad and would ‘treasure these pieces always’.
In the post announcing her father’s death on social media on Wednesday, Sophie wrote: ’25th April 2024. My precious Dad passed suddenly but so peacefully whilst he slept. My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down.
‘A deep unimaginable pain I cannot put into words.
‘Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.’

When the star initially introduced her followers to her father’s workshop in 2022, she shared a snap of its front door and penned: ‘I’m so proud of my dad. The start of many projects together in Grandads workshop!
‘Dad really wanted to make his own work bench and stool for the workshop and here it is!’
A few days later, she posted some more inside looks at the room, which is located on her Essex farm, as well as further explaining why it was so important to her father.
She explained: ‘Dad and I have written some of our projects on our whiteboard. Seeing dad so happy when in here really is everything.
‘I think it’s lovely to think that every person in this world has their own aims and dreams in life.
‘A workshop has always been my dad’s. We do just find ourselves making up projects as we go along because we want to use his new tools but we love it.’
In a tear-jerking post, the cleaning star replied to a comment that read: ‘I cried my eyes out seeing that your dad finally has a workshop. What’s your first project?’
Sophie responded: ‘Honestly the workshop is by far the most emotional part of the house.

‘Me and dad would watch New Yankees Workshop together every weekend and literally dream of having the same, so handing dad the keys to his own workshop was the most incredible feeling.
‘We ordered all of his dream tools and we have even put a project board up on the wall which I will share with you all.
‘I just can’t wait for us to upcycle and make things in here together. Dad has worked so hard his whole life to look after us all and I felt like I could finally give him something back.’
Her father Alan also made a custom homeware range for the £1million farmhouse, which Sophie dubbed her ‘forever home,’ including a gorgeous wooden dining room table.
Sharing a snap of the handmade furniture on Instagram in September 2022, she wrote: ‘It’s perfect. Thank you Dad. Eight Facebook Marketplace chairs (£10 each) some scaffold boards, reclaimed wood and HOURS of hard work … we have our new family dining table.
‘Handmade by my Dad. I am from a family where we absolutely LOVE our food, where Sunday roast dinners up the table with Yorkshire puds are a must.
‘So to be able to sit at this beautiful table really means so much to all of us. I know you’re reading this caption right now Dad, so I just wanted to say I love you so much Dad, we all do and this really is so special to me, thank you always.’
She did not reveal her father’s cause of death in the heartfelt statement she released on Wednesday.
