Mayci Neeley has broken her silence on whether any of her Mormon Wives co-stars were involved in the MomTok ‘soft-swinging’ scandal that took social media by storm two years ago.
The scandal at the center of the series was set off when influencer Taylor Frankie Paul divulged on TikTok back in 2022 that she and her ex-husband had been swingers, casting a cloud of suspicion over the sex lives of the other #MomTok women.
During an appearance on Jana Kramer’s podcast Whine Down, Neeley clarified Paul is the sole ‘swinger’ on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast.
‘None of the swingers besides Taylor are in the show,’ she said.
While Neeley was part of the MomTok — a group of TikTok content creators who are mostly Mormon — she wasn’t involved in the controversy.

‘I was in MomTok but I wasn’t part of the scandal,’ she said.
Neeley said she understood people were likely to associate all of MomTok with the swingers.
‘I think people even now think, “Oh, they’re just trying to cover it up” like “They were swinging.” I wasn’t.’ Neeley said. ‘You can think what you want, but we didn’t know what was going on really behind the scenes.
‘I had an inkling of feeling that they were swingers but like just from things I was seeing, but no one truly knew until the scandal came out and it was all over online,’ she said.
Neeley said Taylor’s motivation for revealing the ‘soft-swinging’ was to dispel rumors she had cheated after members of the MomTok community allegedly fueled rumors she had been unfaithful.
‘She did it because there was rumors online that she had stepped out of the marriage and was unfaithful and she’s like, actually that’s not what happened.
‘And I guess there were a couple of girls in the MomTok group who were like, I guess confirming that, because they liked someone’s comment of like “Taylor cheated.”
As the rumor was ‘liked’ by a MomTok member, it gave legs to the rumor – prompting Taylor to clear the air.
‘And so Taylor was like, “You know that’s not what happened.” This is what is going on. ‘Cause she just wanted to set the record straight cause she was looking kind of like a villain.’

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has officially been renewed for a second season, with the whole original cast slated to return
Neeley did know the women involved in the scandal, adding ‘we all made videos together’.
She added they were also able to be on the show ‘if they wanted to be’ but she suspected they decided not to join the show due to Taylor, and another citing their mental health.
The show has since been officially renewed for a second season, with the whole original cast slated to return.
Since its premiere on Hulu on September 6, the show has proven to be a barnstorming success with viewers.
The principal cast is made up of Jen Affleck, Demi Engemann, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Paul and Layla Taylor.
But in spite of the vicious clashes between the women on season one, they have all signed on to come back for season two, TMZ reports.
Pre-production has been forging ahead in Utah and the cast are slated to begin filming the upcoming season within a week, it is claimed.
