It's the biggest reality show on television right now, but The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives might be in for a major cast shakeup soon.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Whitney Leavitt, who are arguably the show's two most famous stars, are just two of the cast members who could be out by the end of the year.

Paul's potential exit of course comes off the back of her domestic dispute scandal with baby daddy Dakota Mortensen, which led to ABC cancelling her season of just days before its premiere.

The decision was made after shocking footage emerged of Paul physically attacking Mortensen in front of her daughter during a 2023 domestic dispute.

That incident led to Paul being arrested and charged with assault, criminal mischief and domestic violence in the presence of a child.

While the fifth season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has already started filming, production was abruptly halted earlier this week due to another  probe involving Paul and Mortensen, who share a one-year-old son, Ever.

As a result, cast member Mikayla Matthews confirmed that she and the rest of the cast have decided to hit 'pause' on filming the new season.

'It was a decision that all of us girls came up with and agreed on,' she shared on Instagram on Thursday.

'We didn't feel comfortable filming with everything that was happening.'

In an interview with Good Morning America on Wednesday, which was recorded just one day before ABC pulled the plug on The Bachelorette, Paul hinted that her future on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is now uncertain in the wake of her latest scandal.

When asked on Good Morning America where she stands with The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives moving forward, Paul said, 'It's hard to say now, right?'

She continued, 'Just given everything going on. It's hard to see past this, in this moment, it's really heavy.'

Since that interview, Mortensen has filed a restraining order against Paul and is demanding sole custody of their son, according to TMZ.

Paul isn't the only cast member whose future on the show is uncertain.

Demi Engemann quit the series at the beginning of season four and has boasted about having new projects in the pipeline

Engemann was noticeably absent from promotional material for season four, despite appearing in several episodes

Demi Engemann quit the series at the beginning of season four after she was accused of cheating on her husband Brett with Vanderpump Villa star Marciano Brunette.

Brunette has since filed a defamation lawsuit against Engemann and the show's production company over what he called 'false accusations of sexual assault'.

Speaking to TMZ after her exit from the series, Engemann said, 'I will always be the girl that walks away for my peace, my mental health.'

The 31-year-old said that she's 'taken a step back' from MomTok for now, but added that she has two new projects in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, Whitney Leavitt has also teased her own exit from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

The 32-year-old was the villain in the show's first two seasons, but has since become a fan favorite and a bankable star outside of the series.

She was one of the standout contestants on the last season of Dancing with the Stars, which was the most watched instalment of the competition series in almost a decade.

From there, she landed the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway, which has shattered box office records.

Paul's potential exit of course comes off the back of her domestic dispute scandal with Dakota Mortensen, which led to ABC cancelling her season of The Bachelorette

Leavitt's Broadway run has achieved the highest ticket sales in the show's 29-year history and producers have already extended her contract to keep up with demand.

She's also starring in an upcoming holiday film, which she is executive producing.

Given her busy schedule, it's no surprise that Leavitt is now hinting that she may exit her Hulu series sooner rather than later.
