The update comes after Tommy revealed that he had been battling a secret injury.
On Wednesday, the professional boxer took to Instagram to reveal he finally received surgery for the injury he has been ‘putting off for years’.
The father-of-one shared he has been in ‘extreme pain’ which saw him not use his right hand in boxing fights, but is now ready and ‘excited’ to get back on track.
Alongside a picture of him in hospital, he wrote: ‘Since 2019 I have been dealing with a hand injury that I’ve never spoken about/shared online.
‘Since my third professional fight I have been trying to manage this injury, training and fighting through extreme pain which lead to me often not being able to use my right hand at all.
‘For the last four weeks of my last camp I trained solely with my left hand until fight night.
‘This morning I underwent the surgery I’ve been putting off for years as I know this is the only way my hand will heal and that I can move forward with my boxing career.

Molly-Mae and Tommy welcomed Bambi on January 23, 2022 after three-and-a-half years of dating.
The young family enjoyed a trip to Dubai on their way back from spending the New Year in the Maldives.
Molly revealed that the luxury holiday was originally just supposed to be a romantic getaway for her and Tommy, as the pair struggle to find time to spend together just the two of them.
She confessed that since Bambi was born in January 2023, the couple haven’t had any ‘adult intimate nice quality time together’, but still opted to bring Bambi along.
The family flew in first class and when they reached the Maldives, they stayed at the £4,300-a-night Ritz-Carlton, a global luxury hotel and resort chain.
Their waterfront pad featured a private pool, with a double bed sun lounger and a king-size bed overlooking the Maldivian sea.
After their trip, Molly-Mae was forced to respond to concerns that she and Tommy were putting Bambi at risk.

Molly-Mae and Tommy are in a good place after the two sparked worry among fans late last year following Tommy’s wild nights out, also in Dubai.
Amid claims she was ‘mortified’ by his partying behaviour, Molly-Mae was spotted with and without her £600,000 engagement ring on and off on multiple occasions.
However it seems the couple have put all that behind them as they looked relaxed and in love in all photos and videos.
Molly-Mae and Tommy met on the 2019 series of Love Island where they finished in second place to Amber Gill and Greg O’Shea.
